Yea play for more than a week and the puzzle pieces will start slotting themselves in for you. You want proof? why the heck would the OP be lying exactly? think for a second what could he possibly benefit from a lie like this?
Simple economics lesson:Right you've just gone back on yourself, complaining about prices being high and then saying more and more bot the item and its reduced, which is fact, look at shards. So I wait for that to happen, I'm not depressed or have such an ego to be the first to have x item, I can wait until its affordable by the mass botters.
And Gil doesn't get the item, everything is accessible in game free. You can go farm your mats to take up a craft, you can slice fish up for shards, or break crystals into shards, all farmed or fished, you can then go out with friends kill a NM and use your craft to make the item. Or if the item drops from a pure NM, camp it and claim it and get the drop. There wont be the same scene as XI as already perceived by the developers.
You're hating botters for the wrong reasons it seems, all I see is jealousy that the botter has 100m while your sad your 1m doesnt go far and you're sitting in velveteen while the botter is in some insane robe that you need 42 golden ducks to get. Why does-the way you get something have to have any competitiveness against another person? This is a game, you do what you want on it, the "competing" is all in your head.
People come up with silly excuses like "They claim all your mobs!" well I could do that, without botting, and since when are they your mobs, did you go around with a black marker writing your name on it and filing out some copyright form to allow authorization of the ownership of that mob to you? Its pathetic really lol.
100 people all farming the same item = that items price goes down
100 people who have a ton of money all trying to buy a rare item= that items price goes way up
So no i didn't go against myself, you just didn't understand my argument.
you're basically arguing that its ok for other people to cheat and get the best items really fast because you are willing to spend a year grinding to get that same item. While that is -your- opinion, it is not one shared by most people.
There is a reason why FFXI worked so hard to get rid of RMT and fishbots and such.
And in the end, crafts and gathering became essentially -useless- in ffxi
and most good items became rare/ex
The thing is, SE already made these mistakes in FFXI. They have no excuse to be making them again with FFXIV. If they don't ban all the botters, they only way they have to make the game somewhat fair is to create rare/ex items that you get from raids or nms. That means the game will probably have to become raid-heavy. As a result the whole "casualness" is elminated. And the game still has to attract a HUGE new population to be anywhere near successful. A raid-heavy game probably won't attract enough of a population. So FFXIV is essentially setting itself up for failure.
And thats what concerns me.
And where does the rare item come from? You're complaining that you dont want to put effort in yet you're complaining about those who dont want to put effort in. There wasnt a single item in XI I couldnt really get unless it was like Novio because my friends just were not skilled or never tried the NM, I even got a kraken which was mega rare, how did I get it? BCNM. Just keep trying and everytime I didnt get it, I would stockpile the gil go farm and try again. It took a long time yes but I got it and didnt need to cheat but I knew people who rmt'd to get it, and what did I do? Nothing, we went n killed bunch of shit n had fun cuse im not jealous nore do I care!Simple economics lesson:

Yes they did make mistakes in XI, such as stupid spawn times, stupid item obtain rules, and their solution was Abyssea where you can solo to get most of everything and gil is absolute useless and XIV is doing the same exact thing, small spawn timers and everything being rare/ex
SE are not going to follow the same path and even if they did, you can still go get it. If you want to complain that it takes long to get something, then cheat lol otherwise you're playing the wrong game! This is a long time game.
Its pathetic to have to use a bot to claim mobs as soon as they pop. Its just a matter of being human. Of course when you are alone and waiting for an NM to pop to get the item, and someone else appears, you can't help but to go "ah crap.. -_-"People come up with silly excuses like "They claim all your mobs!" well I could do that, without botting, and since when are they your mobs, did you go around with a black marker writing your name on it and filing out some copyright form to allow authorization of the ownership of that mob to you? Of course they aren't you're mobs, but that other person is an inconvenience, bot or not. The fact that they bot is even more annoying, because you are playing legit, while the bot that is claiming more mobs than you, isn't legit at all.
and this is the attitude that will kill the game.
Many people say they are sticking around in a system that they don't really enjoy to have a headstart on everyone else, botting at this level means doing this is retarded since mass numbers of others will be capped and hardly played the game and gil and accounts will be sold by RMT sites cheap as dirt if demand increases anyway.
If you play the game cause you enjoy it then botting doesn't matter too much, if you are playing for a headstart and to be better than others when they turn the game arouind... well, lol at you.
you can lol @ me all you want, but truth is i am leveling my classes for when the game turns around. if it doesn't i'll just leave it. i have some fun in game don't get me wrong, but the main reason i haven't left is because if i do i will be left behind. Many people say they are sticking around in a system that they don't really enjoy to have a headstart on everyone else, botting at this level means doing this is retarded since mass numbers of others will be capped and hardly played the game and gil and accounts will be sold by RMT sites cheap as dirt if demand increases anyway.

i do not agree with botting and believe that all botters should be banned, but to say colateral damage should be accepted is pure pathetic. if you believe it is ok to ban anyone that is doing nothing wrong is ok then there is no need to even discuss anthing. there is nothing in game that is wrong enough botting, rmt, griefers, or anything else that should ever trump the people that are playing the game legit. if se ever started banning people and using the colateral damage excuse they would lose my business forever and i would be sure to get as many as i could to never use their products either. i say that whether i was one of the ones that was colateral damage ban or not.

That fact that you are playing the game in its current condition is a guarantee head start for when the others start to play. Its really more of a way of being able to try out whenever the new content is released, because not too many lower levels can attend these events.
Different strokes for different folks.you can lol @ me all you want, but truth is i am leveling my classes for when the game turns around. if it doesn't i'll just leave it. i have some fun in game don't get me wrong, but the main reason i haven't left is because if i do i will be left behind.

I have 8 crafts at 50. All I did was watch T.V. and spam standard for easy mode synths. Enjoy leveling those crafts in 1.19 and beyond everyone!
would be kinda like getting arrested for wreckless driving while sitting on your living room couch and the police using the excuse "well you were not speeding, driving drunk, or even in your car, be we are going to arrest you anyways"
