Actually I would be fine with it, i dont have a 50 and my account was activated on sept 22nd. This game doesnt run my life tho so starting over wouldnt be that big of a deal. That seems a little bit cruel to the players that did put up with this mess only to lose there hard work, the legitimate ones anyway. Would you be fine if you got swept up with the bans as well? Wouldn't be right to inflict that to someone if you aren't able to take it yourself.
I have 8 crafts at 50. All I did was watch T.V. and spam standard for easy mode synths. Enjoy leveling those crafts in 1.19 and beyond everyone!
You have nothing to lose, thus nothing to gain.
Just consider them decoration at least it looks like there are people at Limsa, even if they are bots I enjoy seeing the random person in some secluded place. All mmo's have bots most of them aren't tedious like XIV is, its almost justifies the act.. almost.. Like people have said in other threads you would have to be masochist to craft.
You are the exception not the rule. Honestly I would be fine with a few honest innocent players getting banned if it would eliminate all of the bots. If you have 10+ 50s at this point in the time line of the game there is a very very very good chance you NEED someone to force you to stop playing.Obviously you are not in the realm to even be glanced at by automatic bot searching methods. So, I've got a hypothetical question for you.
Lets say you are at the beach during a sand castle competition. You work on yours and it turns out to be an igloo about the size of a medium sized dog. Now about 10 feet away from you there is a sand castle artist. His castle is 6 feet high, 12 feet across and deep. It is well decorated with quartz the guy made compressing sand with his hands (could be superman!) and even has an awesome moat to trap the little kiddies running around in. Now a bulldozer decides to drive through the beach and hits this guys sand castle which would have been a wonder of the world along with some other castles made with large molds. Would you really think, "That guy spent too much time making that, he deserved for his work to be destroyed. O'well, if the bulldozer ran over mine I wouldn't miss it either so it is okay."
Of course this is a dramatized question, but it is the same concept if you consider the game avatars works of art and not easily replaced.
Yes, bots are sometimes bad. What is worse than bots though is hitting false positives. I actually heard someone praising bots the other day. "They keep the price for crystals down."
Hail Il Palazzo!
I get what you are saying but in almost all cases(almost) I am ok with collateral damage if the greater good is served.Obviously you are not in the realm to even be glanced at by automatic bot searching methods. So, I've got a hypothetical question for you.
