    What are you smoking? 40 people rushing down a FATE in 20seconds isn't a problem? Being unable to see/target mobs isn't a problem? Turn-in FATEs being on countdown before you even kill one mob isn't an issue?

    The whole reason people grind the trash in Dark Designs is because EXP is a problem for a main 45+ and a problem for secondary/tertiary classes. You know, because FATEs become the only reasonable way to level but thanks for being an ass and killing objective mobs when people are trying to grind.

    Everything is the fault of the game. They control what kind of community they will attract by setting the stage with the game mechanics.

    The leveling speed, the amount of teamwork and communication required to accomplish things, the personal involvement necessary with the battle system, the pace of battles and the battle system, the level of involvement people need in the community on their own server, the types of systems available for player community organization, the balance between different types of content (endgame, leveling up, story, crafting, battle, etc.)...all of these things are set by the development team. In XIV's case specifically, with regard to the OP, they chose to make FATEs what they are, they chose to have the "duty finder" system, and they chose to make it possible to get to endgame in three days and then spam dungeons for tokens.

    Player populations are essentially completely predictable given what they are allowed to do in a game. The features and content of a game attract certain types of people and don't attract others. It is not a coincidence that WoW's community is the way it is, or FFXI's, or EVE's, or anything else.

    I played till Garuda (Hard) and if something is WRONG with FFXIV:ARR, it is the COMMUNITY.

    I loved the community in FFXI and FFXIV 1.x. Most of the people were very nice. It's because Final Fantasy players generally are nice. But now we have a lot ppl from other stuff.

    One example is, every time I want to do content with my DD, I have to wait around 30 mins to get a group.
    Now I am finally in. Someone in the group does this content first time. -> 3 people rage quit. That is the end of the group and the begin of waiting time.

    Personally I preferred shouting for a group for 10 mins like it was before.

    This game is great, but with such a community it ruins almost all fun of gameplay. People are bitching nonstop.

    Please change something!

    Translation:

    It wont be a big deal once a bunch of people quit.

    The problem is:
    Either EVERYONE will do FATE and they will ALWAYS be a big pointless zerg
    OR...
    NO ONE will do FATE because not enough people are doing them and they will become pointless.

    Originally, Yoshi said FATE aren't something that you can camp.
    Is there ANYONE out there that can say he was correct?

    Not sure how you're playing the game, but even I can get a good 9-10K pet FATE in the run from 40-50, that's as a GLA AKA the class with least AoE to spam out of all classes in the game. You can't even say my amazing DPS is getting me good credit for FATE, as GLA is pretty damn far from good DPS.

    I don't know which is funnier, the fact you're annoyed at the fact that all I did was complete a FATE objective as it was intended to be done or the fact that you're painting people that purposely fail FATEs not unlike the people that purposely failed leves in 1.0 as victims.

    Of course if they end up having to nerf FATE mobs by having them give no exp due to players doing things in ways not intended by the developers, I'll have you and your cohorts to thank for that.

    * The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.

    you are lying, it takes at least 7 items to get gold, no way this fate ends after 5sec it starts, this kind of collecting stuff fate takes the longest to finish.

    the problem is not fate grinding itself.

    too many people grind fate to level because dungeon gives too little exp, once they raise the exp gained from killing mobs in dungeons, there will be much less people grind fate.

    But i bet at that time you will post a thread complain fate is dead, no one is doing it and it takes too long to finish one single fate.
