Content at lvl 50?

So after reading the forums and learning about some "issues" people have with the game and after the last Patch, I have some questions:

A. If you are lvl 50, you are supposed to farm stones in dungeons to "simply" buy the best(?) gear in game (after getting a blue set around lvl 45), is that correct ?

B If you can simply buy best(?) gear via dungeon farming, is there any need to buy something of crafters at all?

C Many people started to complain about high repair cost and SE lowered repair costs, which leaves one question for me:
Since you don't need to farm Gil now, is there anything else you have to do beside dungeon farming and getting some cross class skills?

Yea they said they lowered repair costs but they didnt mention that now your durability drops way faster and much more now.
