Content at lvl 50?

So after reading the forums and learning about some "issues" people have with the game and after the last Patch, I have some questions:

A. If you are lvl 50, you are supposed to farm stones in dungeons to "simply" buy the best(?) gear in game (after getting a blue set around lvl 45), is that correct ?

B If you can simply buy best(?) gear via dungeon farming, is there any need to buy something of crafters at all?

C Many people started to complain about high repair cost and SE lowered repair costs, which leaves one question for me:
Since you don't need to farm Gil now, is there anything else you have to do beside dungeon farming and getting some cross class skills?

Yea they said they lowered repair costs but they didnt mention that now your durability drops way faster and much more now.

ilvl 70 gear is very strong, however takes a lot of runs especially time consuming with the recent nerf to speed runs. You get 80 - 100 per run, peices need 375 - 825 each.

ilevel 90 gear is the highest ilevel, and takes myth tokens, currently capping at 300/week. They cost 375-825.

Alternatively you can get crafted ilvl 70 gear which with materia and an absurd amount of gil is arguably better than Darklight (ilevel 70).

Alternatively you can get dropped ilvl 90 gear from Coil of Bahamut which requires a skilled and coordinated group. It is faster and many pieces are more itemized for your class.

so something they said they fixed actually broke it/if not made it worse. As for the gear yes in endgame the primal hard fights require you to have mainly darklight or AF+ because regular AF does not give the stats you need to deal with said bosses. and it takes long to get the tomes for AF+ since atm i believe Castrum and AK give them to you and its only 40 per run af+ pieces if memory serves costs 300-1300 tomes each depending on which piece it is such as body, pants, so on. And the mobs in the 50 dungeons do not drop anything which is why ppl mainly do speed running which with this patch they basically removed.

There is a fair amount of endgame considering the age of the game currently. It's just a case of people rushing to the top and then complaining that they've run out of content even though that's to be expected. If you take things slower and spread out what you do I can almost guarantee you wont run out of things to do. On top of levelling other classes, you can gear all of them as well as levelling gathering/trade classes to make money, work on a relic, primals, dungeons, and eventually coil of Bahamut.

Tokens are like a global currency from all dungeons and do mean you can simply buy the gear, but they take a while to farm so crafted items fill the gap until then.

I can confirm, my Durability is not dropping any faster than previously, Doing the same fates for soulbinding gave the same approx durability.

If you are that paranoid, wear gear you are soulbinding for trash.

Well thx for answers, but farming dungeons and lvl other classes sounds more like a chore to me and crafting seems very pointless when best gear comes from dungeon farming (Still dunno if you really need Gil).

you essentially just told him if he does not want to run out of things to do then dont run out of things to do or do things you dont want to do.....Why should he HAVE to level and gear all his classes? That sounds like an absolutely great way to begin alcoholism if you ask me :/. MMOs should know by now that people reach endgame FAST and its their fault for making it so damn easy anymore, youd think theyd front load tons of endgame since all these themeparks are based on the real game starting at endgame anyway.
