Yes being in EU won't help your situation much. I specifically got it on PC because I live in Australia and knew that lag would be an issue (thank god for tunnelling services!) all you can do now is either buy a PC copy and hope you can play it without lag that way or stick it out until they fix/patch the lag problem.
