    Hey maybe now I can ride by Quarrymill without the server IMPLODING from the 300 afk people there.

    And Odin might ACTUALLY BE DOABLE because the map server isn't as loaded! Being able to just login without a queue will be nice too. (Yes, the server I play on still had a queue).

    I honestly can't believe anyone could logically be against an idle kick. The idea of opposing it defies all reason and logic.

    Your argument seems to be based on the idea that it shouldn't be there. But the thing is, it is and it can be easily circumvented if you hate it that much. It balances server load to those actually playing. There really is no point to stay on that long and do nothing and you can easily just log back in.
    It seems to me this is making a mountain out of a ditch.

    I don't see the disadvantage here.

    Wow another feature that the majority wants and the minority whines about just like quick runs. All these posts about quick runs and auto logouts are supported by the majority of people in the threads and only the minority are the ones crying. Deal with it. This is what most people wanted and they got it. If auto log off and quick runs are a game breaker for you then obviously this game was not what you were looking for.

    Why people complain over this now is for me... A bigger question actually. WoW has this, and even shorter. Be away 10 minutes or so and you must log back into the game. So does Rift and TERA. These are the other MMOs I have played. When you are playing MMOs and you are looking into raids/dungeons or leveling or basically playing MMO at all, MAKE SURE YOU GOT THE TIME. It is pointless playing MMO when you know there is stuff going to happen in your life. Play an hour or so before bedtime for example. IF you are going to school the next day. Or right after school if you need to relax before you are doing your homework. That is if you are a student.

    Its a win for all people who actually support this because they are not the one who would be afk for more then 30 min at a time and if they happen to have a circumstance which makes them afk for 30+ min they arent crying cause it takes them 1 minute to log back in.

    So to bring up valid reasons why the timer is 30 minutes and not longer, there isn't a crap ton of realms yet because there isn't a need for them. Unlike World of Warcraft, you can AFK for about 6 hours before being kicked to the login screen, but Blizzard also has 241 realms in North America and 263 in Europe, this is why they can allow such large AFK timers, they have more realms for their 6-7 million players to access, with about 3-5 of them on NA that ever reach player cap and having a login queue, and about 5-8 in EU, most of the others are semi populated to some that a really barren, but not much they can do about that since they wont merge realms or offer players on the barren worlds free transfers off to the medium populated servers so they can shut down worlds, but most of the realms are like this because they've lost 5+ million players since Wrath of the Lich King.

    For those DPS who are saying they liked to queue for Duty Finder then AFK for longer than 30 minutes:

    As a tank, I've had several duties try to commence, only to have one of the DPS fail to confirm, which is baffling considering the compaints I've heard. If you want the duty enough to queue for it, at least be around when it's ready to join. It's not a big deal for me since it's just a few minutes wasted, but I figure it's a huge deal for a DPS role to miss it. So if you want to go walk your dog or drive your kid somewhere, the auto-logger isn't really your problem. There's tons of other stuff to do in the game while you wait for a duty to commence, I suggest you do that, or something nearby so you can hear when it's ready. Hell, if I was mostly playing DPS, I would've found a tank or healer friend to queue with by now so I wouldn't have to wait so long.

    1 hour would be acceptable.

    30 minutes is too short.

    I'd prefer if it was removed completely but I understand this is a smart business move for SE. They can cram more players on the servers if there aren't AFKers taking up connections.

    SE probably wanted to auto-logout from the beginning but thought there would be backlash. Now they are enjoying the playerbase making the decision for them. Save lots of cash not having to create more servers.

    Nice made up numbers WoW is still 15 min Kick out to char screen and 15mins in char screen to total dc

    If there is no afk timer AND there's a zone cap like you wanted, what stops people from staying (maybe afk) in Coerthas and locking players out of the zone so they can't participate? Isn't being locked out of a zone similar to being locked out of the game due to afkers?

    It seems like you just make suggestions that are beneficial to yourself. If you wanted to just do things the way you want, go play a single player game instead
