I'm confused, why do we have Coil but not Crystal Tower?

If Crystal Tower is supposedly the 'missing link' in progression to the Coil wouldn't it have made more sense to include Crystal Tower on launch instead of the Coil?

Instead everyone will have grinded out Amdapor, likely obtaining full or close to full Darklight (With some AF2 likely) and potentially even their relic weapons by the time Crystal Tower releases and it will be DoA in terms of usage - only benefiting those that came after it was released. This is of course unless Crystal Tower provides a better in-slot than Darklight gear - but seeing as the Coil's pieces are mainly stat preference allocation changes when compared to the AF2 it might be the same for Darklight/Crystal Tower drops.

Crystal is i85. Which is better than Darklight i70.

Between Allagan and AF+1, there is really nothing for the Crystal Tower to offer people in terms of gear. For anyone clearing Bahamut's Coil, it will be dead on arrival.

The only reason to do it would be in the case of not being able to get enough tokens or actual drops for alt classes and whatnot, or iLv80 crafted gear (unknown).

It really was a poor decision, on top of that the only content we currently have to do is Amdapor Keep and Bahamut's Coil. We are locked out of farming whatever we want from Coil, and Amdapor is repetitive and only really needs to done a few times per week depending on how far your group progresses in Coil. This is a game we are paying each month to play, there is more to do in F2P and B2P games than this.

If your entire life is spent playing the game you are going to run out of things to do. That is just a fact of life. It takes more time to create content than to consume it. WOW wasn't created at release. It's had 10 years of development.

This game will be similar in size but you can't expect it to be that big on day one.

People already have full DL with some AF2 pieces + Relic weapons, even on servers that aren't Legacy.

2)there are any crystal tower equip in dats, so one know what it drop
3)the game released just a month ago. In new games you're very lucky just to have any kind of endgmae. Be lucky you have a nice amount
4) af2 is long to obtain and allagan equip is still far for the vast majority of players. Both of these equip will be probably required to enter crystal tower, so take your time and prepare for it

Crystal tower is designed to be easier than coil, you don't need AF2 or Allagan to enter or complete it. Yoshi P has effectively said that it'll be fairly easy.
