like the titale says, leves don't give enough exp for saying you only get so many of them per day, they need to be more rewarding.
I can do 4 fates in the time it takes to do 1 leve and get 20x the exp just about.
but we all know fates need nerfing![]()

FATEs need extreme nerfing, its ruining alot. Also leve's at least crafting give plenty of exp, its supposed to be a buff to your exping not a common or always source for EXP.
Crafting leves give generous amounts of XP, no issue there. Battlecraft leves can't hold a candle to them though, I do agree they could use an increase to at least be comparable to Tradecraft leves, if only to make leveling a third or fourth Job a tolerable experience.
Also, four Fates in the time to do one leve? I think you're stretching it a bit there.

Leves are important for crafting classes since there are not many alternatives for earning xp. There are no crafting fates, and you get a quest every 5 levels, so it's kinda hard to do it without leves. Early in the game I was using leves on my main class, then realized I was wasting them for my sub classes.
Yeah I'd gone and blown a ton of leves early in the game on my Arcanist and getting some other classes to 15, only to later find myself wishing I'd saved them for Alchemy.Leves are important for crafting classes since there are not many alternatives for earning xp. There should be level 50 leves with good gil rewards and neat drops (since you can't get xp off them.)
Also, bring back faction leves!
Overall, battlecraft leve rewards do need a huge buff... ;l

im on about battlecraft leve's :P
you only get so many you can do per day, which is why I said they need to be increased in exp, they give about 40% exp less per leve for your lvl and that's with increasing difficulty to max. this is for battlecraft leves :P

Leve's are fine IMO, Fate's just need nerfing.

I agree that leves need a bit of a rebalancing when it comes to experience gain. In the 40's, leves only give around 6-7k experience when you need over 400k to level up. To put that into perspective, quests around the same level give around 10-12k, even if it's as simple as using emotes on an NPC.
At the moment, I just can't see a reason why you'd want to waste leve allowances on battlecraft leves with this low XP gain currently in place. They're far better served on a crafting or gathering profession where you can see genuine gains.
The problem is without more quests, you end up with a mixed bag. The reason people are running FATEs so much is there are huge Exp gaps; especially on second or third battle jobs. Fates have effectively helped fill this void in much the same way the rifts in Rift did; when quests are limited, people will take the respawning FATE exp time after time.
It's hard when admittedly all jobs can be done on one character; but a balance between them all is needed. FATEs need some tuning down, Battle/Field Leves need tuning up (I'd also recommend more than 6 a day), Guildhests need a daily reward scheme. This isn't about each competing. This is about getting a fair and sound balance between all things.
Otherwise you just get people piledriving one method, and everything then ends up nerfed.
