FFXIV and HD 6990

I didn't want to wait till June so i went and purchased my 6990. A Sapphire 6990.... I put all the settings on MAX including AO and DOF..... the results?

11FPS at 1680X1050..... either my card is defective or this game is even more poorly designed then i thought....

I do have way lower FPS ~10fps in buletstorm also when using eyefinity... which seems to indicate something is wrong with the card but other games play fine so i dunno....

You turned on Ambient Oclusion, that setting is a MASSIVE resource hog even in games that are optimized well let alone a MMO. Turn that off and see what happens AO is such a minimal change compared to the massive sacrifice in frame-rate it gives.

I'll try without AO.... sucks tho' because i though i would finally be able to use it properly...

So i tried with AO off and reduced AA to 8X.... made a difference but not much.
