No one is saying the limit break isn't useful. the main point is it doesn't fit what bard has become.
It's like turning the WHM limit break into a big cannon that does more damage than the melee LB. Sure it would be useful... and it might even win a few fights... but it would be awkward and out of place given what a WHM is.
