I've been healing in fates since lvl 38 and I've gotten gold, without making a single hit on the monsters.
YOU GET rewarded for healing. I have no idea wth you're talking about.


If you're so worried about exp go in a group. It's not that hard to find a fate group as a healer.

Seriously... think of the bigger picture. The defeat of the primals depend on us not being dicks.

Healing was supposed to grant participation points, but I suppose they didn't count raises. As behemoth was perfectly capable of one-shotting multiple non-tanks with one swipe and 2/3 shotting tanks, im guessing odin was the same way, thus leading to not many chances to heal anyone. If the Odin raid was anything like the behemoth raid I was in, it is very difficult to see anyone who needs healing, raising, or the fate boss. It's easy to get healing points in other Boss fates, but these 2 are just impossible.

They really just need to fix these fates.

I call bs on the ALL the WHM that say you dont get credit for healing ... Im only lvl 39 so the biggest event I have done is the dragon event in cortheas But I just throw Areo up on the dragon keep it up and heal people and get gold every time so not getting to credit for healing maybe you are doing something wrong and not quick enough healing people that are dying ... If for some reason this changes for in lvl 50 fates .. not sure why it would

Svara or whatever, normally if I just do damage I was getting 18-19k exp, gold medal. Healed one time, got 4k exp. It was like I was not even there. And yes, I even ripped the Dragon a few times, put on Aero.

You don't get credit for healing unless you're in a party.

If you are in a party, you get credit for all the other members actions. Of course you can heal and get gold in a party, but it won't be your gold medal.

Public groups. SE, you can do this. If you want your FATEs to become something pleasant, please simply copy what all the other MMO with event-based progression do.

There is no way to fix the current fate healing set up without implementing a entirely new raid party system. It's almost impossible to heal large fate groups. I have to try and click this random persons name while tons of other people are running around them, and other mobs to.

I'm not even sure how this system came to be it's like they just wanted to make people not want to be healers.

I highly doubt this will get changed anytime soon. They have to make an entirely new party system that allows for more then 8 people which if you ask me was a bad move in the first place.

You do get credit for healing and it's pretty generous but you have to heal damage spamming heal on a target with full hp will net you nothing

I've exclusively healed fates while NOT in a party and still got gold medals so I don't know what you're all talking about.

You have to actually be healing people though, not overheals.

From what i've read, it's based on aggro. So if your healing is pulling aggro, you get a better medal. I was in a fate that i did little in, but had the majority of the mobs chasing me around as i ran circles trying to heal myself, and i got a gold. Others i do damage and try to heal, silver. So it seems about right.

Fate rewards are based on HATE. Doing damage as a WHM is pretty pitiful compared to DPS, so your hate will be low. What generates alot of hate? Healing party members that have hate on Odin. Get a party, over heal and res them, boom gold. Odin needs more organization than zerging for a decent completion.

Ofc, this only works once SE fixes FATE boss load priority.
