Shout chat is no longer ours

Make it so that you have to be level 10 or higher to use any chat other than /s /w
or /fc. This might not stop all of them but it's a start
Limit the amount of lines in text to 4(mainly for fc ads)
Add of restriction on chat to 10 secs for message and repeat spam extends it
Have a right click on name /report for RMT with confirm box
Investigate any guilds these RMT may be in to see if its a RMT guild
etc, etc

and don't buy gil people, can't say it enough.

Personally, I'd just prefer if blacklisting one character blacklists the whole account along with it, including any characters created on that account after the fact. At least then in order for them to keep it up, they have to pay SE for new copies of the game, and since digital sales are currently halted, it would be especially effective until that restriction is lifted. (At least SE would make a revenue off of them)

Exactly I don't think people should have to blacklist every single character made on that account, once and forget it solution works wonders

improve the overall chat it is horrible and in need of a real overhaul allow players to add keywords to block let us make the filters limit the use of shout chat if a person sends more than 10 msg per min suspend their chat activity for an hour if they do it more then once suspend their ability to use chat at all until reviewed by a gm.

For those thinking let people buy crysta or gil we don't need that crap and i would quit any game that implements it.

oh by the way the black list feature needs to be upped higher than 200 because i am running out of space.

The real problems span from the game being cheap enough to buy accounts also. 100k gil was like 10 bucks. So to make a profit only need to sell 400k...which is alot of gil. They clearly need to hire a bunch of temps and battle this aggressively. Have friends who want to quit because of how bad rmt is getting.

Yup, they could even have an event of it, evil invaders are selling "fake gill" get exp/gill/item for helping get rid of them

i imagine the reason why they dont have this function is to stop people bullying/abusing people, but they need to do something, even just 1 GM floating around the world, right click > gill seller, they can tele to the location of the report, 1 command from them, ban.

it would be busy work at first, but once you clean up the place a bit, it would be manageable

What is going on in these gold spammers heads? The ridiculous amounts of spam is the worst here that I have seen in any MMO, they purposefully create long weird character names so that it makes it harder for you to type it into blacklist and they spam 20 lines of text continuously so that it's even harder to scroll up and locate their name. Tell me how exactly this is good for their business?

It seems like retaliation and a big middle finger to SE. I never seen this gold seller spamming on hyperion until the day after SE announced they had banned a bunch of accounts for this. Now thats all chat is. Their way of telling SE they will never get rid of them.

I can't even see the normal chat...gil sellers just spam it over and over and over and you can barely blacklist all of them
