WoW had a lot of GMs wandering about sometimes too. they often teleported them our of Org, and dropped em from great height just outside (or at least, one on my server did it a lot lol)
funny, to see naked orc women raining down from the sky XD
then they took to corpse spam, so the GM moved the corpses outside too. course it would be easier if you could just use a spade and /bury their bodies once they are dead (and technicaly afk) so you dont get corspe spam spelling websites in this game...
Could also implement a spam timer. If you send too many messages to /sh in a certain amount of time you are temporarily suspended from /sh for a few minutes. Won't stop it all together, but it will put a limit on it. Also could set it up to where if the same thing is spammed for too long, it could lead to a longer suspension from the channel.
Or make it easier to blacklist people...right click /blacklist. <----- I like this one.
I seen in every town non stop gold seller spam. Needs to be something done about this. Very annoying for players that need to shout for stuff.
28 spammers so far in the past week that I've run across and only one has been deleted.....please GMs....do something about these spammers on Siren. It's getting so bad that I am now thinking about staying out of Ul'dah completely as it is the worst in there. I try to stay out of the main towns because of this. Better yet, give me a transfer off this server. Which server is not getting spam bombed?

Dear Party,
Turn your wounds into wisdom. Stay out of the red so I don't beat you myself.
Love from your Healer, Jaine Deaux
To anyone raging in game chat, I shoot them this message in a tell:
"Spam bots got ya down? Go to Social Lists>>Blacklist>>click Add>>Type or copy paste the name>>click ok. Then go to System>>Support Desk>>Contact us. Report them>>Happiness!!"
So far I've received many thanks. But yea, right-click>>blist/report: [drop down]
>>Harassment
>>RMT
>>Guild Spam (Just kidding about this one but it is annoying.)
There needs to be a special channel just for LS/FC recruitment and anyone that posts Guild related adverts outside of that could be reported. And if someone is really looking for an LS or FC to join, they could add that channel to their chat. Right now it's 'tolerated' in shout/yell/say because there is no other alternative atm. It's like those guys at the post office stepping in front of you as you are leaving and trying to hand you a leaflet or make you sign a petition. =P
I see your ad hominem and raise you a non sequitur.
Now that is a good idea! Throw in a right click block and an report option (abusing it gets you banned) and give it a confirmation box just to be on the safe side and i would say were good.Personally, I'd just prefer if blacklisting one character blacklists the whole account along with it, including any characters created on that account after the fact. At least then in order for them to keep it up, they have to pay SE for new copies of the game, and since digital sales are currently halted, it would be especially effective until that restriction is lifted. (At least SE would make a revenue off of them)
SE could also consider not placing people who are blocked/+reported on your normal block list to save confusion and it also means you don't block the whole account of someone in general.
It's gotten FAR out of hand. There is not a single zone I load into that doesn't have my chat log explode with spam from gold sellers. And the consensus from everyone, which does jack shit, is "just add them to blacklist". No, that's not good enough, they "spawn" faster than I can blacklist them. And if I blacklisted every one as well as reported them I'd be spending more time doing that shit due to it's convoluted ass way than I would playing the f'n game.
Something needs to be done yesterday. Enough is enough. I shouldn't have to leave a specific chat channel/filter because the in game mechanics don't accomodate the most basic of functions that even F2P games have...hell, even browser games have....
Anyway...rant done (for now) going to go play again.../grumble
Agreed. I see some of the same names on my list. I even have people direct tell me messages about Gil buying websites. I've blacklisted them all, but one of them still managed to send me another tell. When I went to blacklist them it wouldn't let me. I received an on screen error message that they were already on my list. HOW DID THAT HAPPEN?
The real problems span from the game being cheap enough to buy accounts also. 100k gil was like 10 bucks. So to make a profit only need to sell 400k...which is alot of gil. They clearly need to hire a bunch of temps and battle this aggressively. Have friends who want to quit because of how bad rmt is getting.
