So instead of commenting why does the game has no system to prevent items to get lost in the void, you all go raging on me for having inventory fulls by that moment, ok.

    Good job white knighters!

i hope someday u'r hardcore raiding and your item that you farmed 90 times before finnaly drops and it gets lost forever.

Yes you should check you bags and make sure your inventory has plenty of space before going about and adventuring, BUT, SE doesn't have to have the loot self-destruct, that's ridiculous. It is 100% a step backwards in gaming
if I can't rearrange my inventory to pick up a new piece of loot regardless of how many retainers I can employ.

It's about realism (which I don't even need to feel realistic in this case).

meanwhile, we can carry 99 of each weapons, armors, and other stuffs around in offline FFs.

That's the only person you can blame though. If you don't have 50+ slots left when you start raiding, you've messed up.

Can only have 2 retainers, not 3.

If using common sense has become white knighting, then sign me up!

As it's been said, you have visual icons for all of your inventory. You should never start a dungeon with a full or almost full inventory when you know full well that you are expecting, and hoping, to gain loot from said dungeon. Take care of your situation before it becomes a problem, or is that just too much work for you?

I never run a dungeon with full inventory. If I notice my inventory is getting to where I only have about 5-10 open spaces available, I start looking at what I can turn into Materia, and what I can sell. Typically when I notice myself getting full the first things to go into my retainer's bags are all of my gathered crafting materials so that they get stacked with mats already in the retainer. Then I start looking at gear, is it something I will be using currently? No, but it is something I plan to use? Put it in the retainer and retrieve it later when I actually plan to level that class/job.

I have 2 retainers, and even so my first retainer still has a lot of room left.

You shouldn't call people white knighters just because you failed to prepare yourself for a dungeon run(s). Let me guess, you also have a problem remembering to repair your damaged gear too?

I've never had to worry about ending up in a situation like you put yourself into, and I never will. I do the prep work when needed.

^ This. Inventory management is your responsibility, not the game's.

Having collected items for most of his pod-pilot carreer, Entity now owns approximately 9300 different types of items, including the majority of New Eden's most rare ships, making it the largest and most valuable collection in the galaxy.
The total value of Entity's assets is estimated at 20 trillion ISK.
This guy is living the dream - no inventory limits there.

While the inventory space in FFXIV doesn't compare to that in Eve, we still seem to get a reasonable amount. I do however agree with the OP that the handling of a full inventory could use improvement, even though I have yet to even approach running out of space personally.

Did you even read the op? Not asking for the game to manage the inventory, just asking that the game not destroy loot and instead let the player manage their inventory to make space for said loot. Not too much ask, really.
