It is still the user fault. It is just so hard for them not to click those sites...
Like I said previously it's not always some fake web-page that gets players hacked. All it takes is a popular fan site a moment of weakness to be compromised in any number of ways. Not everyone who gets hacked is off browsing gold sale websites.
Disable Java and use no script.
That is what I do, but you can't expect every single person on the internet to go to such extremes or even know that such exploits exist in the first place.
Again not everyone who is hacked or "Keylogged" was doing something wrong on the internet the outright disdain I see in this thread is odd. I can't see why you would say that anyone "Deserved it" might as well say that someone was asking to get robbed because he walked down the wrong alley in a town he doesn't live in.
For anyone who doesn't want to pay for a physical token or if you don't have a smart phone, there are Android emulators you can use on your pc. I was looking into them awhile back and they can run most apps. I'm not 100% if the authenticator will work or not, but it's worth trying out if it's your only option. I think the one I used was called bluestacks but you will have to do some research to see if there are better ones out there now. Hope this helps!
