My guess it was an error in translation. Or it was the hacking of inactive accounts. In another game, my account got hacked while it was inactive, hadn't played it in like 2 years. When I tried to reactivate it, I was told that my account was locked due to it being hacked. I had to go through some simple process to prove I was the original owner of the account before I could reactivate it.
Again considering this is a translation I wouldn't fret too much on the exact wording of an announcement. But if you want clarification due to it I can understand that. But I'm personally not too worried
Or download the iOS/Android app from the marketplace. Its free.
Thanks......
Not really dumb. If you've visited the wrong sites, you're the kind of person who's involved in RMT anyway. At least that was the general thread in FFXI. There was that one occasion with one legit site, but the majority of people hacked were those who bought gil (or at least viewed RMT sites).
It's a hard statement. And a generalisation. But in most cases was true (by their own admittance to friends - definately not to the general public).
You should be okay as long as you use your tokens and never answer the /tell just treat it like ads online, ignore. Plus I always blacklist those people. SE really need to put a block option when selecting a persons name on the chat log.
So not only is this a sub MMO, but the answer is spend MORE money to get this service, brilliant. Now this is slightly better and an option i will proceed with if there is anyway i can have the one time passcode sent as a text to my phone, but the app says smartphone only which i don't have.
Not true, FFXI had a pretty bad exploit with the webpage FFXIah where gilsellers attained a addspace through whatever means and put a iframe within it so that when flash ran the plugin you were sunk.
SE might be putting this into practice (or maybe not, but I would assume they at least did when NDA was in effect)
If they are, you should be careful where you post screenshots since that's giving your account info to hackers on a silver platter. Sometimes guessing the username is more difficult than the password, and you may have made their job a whole lot easier.
And get a token or the app, who doesn't have a smart phone or tablet at this point? (I wish they would make a token for desktop though...)
