Temps are fine and your statement is incorrect. Poorly coded software is known to crash systems. Just look at the recent Windows update that was causing BSOD. Games crashing systems also occur. The release of Civ 5 was littered with crashed systems and was patched.... eventually.

are you using onboard sound of your Mother board?
if not and your using a separate sound card, have you tried disabling your mother boards onboard sound device via bios and in windows?

    on another note,

If your using a wireless connection to your router, you may want to test the wireless card for faults in either another computer or swap it with a different one.
No using on board sound and cabled to router.

The bad problem is if it is hardware malfunction, it can be any component in his pc thats causing it.

I had this issue too, with hardlocks and BSOD, and figured out it was actually my wireless card, after buying a new one and replacing it has been working flawlessly.
There are many people having this issue it is far from just me. There has been a Dev comfirm that they are "looking into it". Who knows what that means or when they will get round to it.

Yeah man, I'm in the exact same boat as you. I have enough of a beast of a machine to run this game several times over (running tri-crossfire), and I have the same crashing issue. Usually when I teleport, or mount, or stand, or breathe lol Haven't figure out the connection or how to fix it, and like you I've tried reinstalling windows and everything. No luck. I think it's just something SE needs to address, cause drivers don't change anything, and changing the game from max to min settings does nothing, so I don't think it's on our end.

    Just for reference my setup:
    Core i7-3770K
    Sabertooth Z77
    32GB RAM 1600MHz
    GTX680 with 326.80 drivers
    Windows 7 64bit

I haven't had any issues like the ones you describe myself...

Have you tried to disable your internal audio device, just to see if the lockups/crashes stop?
Or just changed audio settings in Windows to be stereo only or something...

I can't tell if it's an SE issue or something with your computers, but doesn't hurt trying various stuff...

Perhaps, but "poorly coded software" as you put it would make this more then an incident for a small group of people. Even if it were hundreds of people, that is a drop in the bucket for the amount of people playing the game.

Unfortunately that doesn't help us. And it's in their best interest to fix this, before more and more people start experiencing this now that people can play the game.

If you'd address your attention to the rest of the forums I think you'd find that there is quite a large group of people experiencing the issue.

I feel your pain man. How many people have told you its your drivers or your computer is overheating? XD
I'm tempting to run my computer inside my god damn fridge to prove a point.

It is very odd. The obvious thing would be there is a problem with your graphics card, either on your end or a compatibility issue between it and the game. And I would understand this, still be annoyed but understand. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a concentrated group of people say, everyone with a 600 series Geforce card. I have a mate running the exact same card with the exact same drivers that I have tried no problem, and another mate who has a completely different card but in his efforts to help me, has noticed people with his card having issues.

In regards to the sound I haven't tried that and what you have said sounds insane. But seeming as I didn't go on vent one night, and didn't turn the playstation on another sound even more insane in trying to fix the issue so I'll give it a try =)
