Don't think so, the mod says at the end that he's closing it "because it can't be solved on the forums" and that they are investigating the problem currently.
Don't really know why they closed the topic...
yeah seems kinda pointless to close it when another will be made in its place haha I do hope the fix it though I want to play again!! =(
Might of been closed because the faulty broadband company was named and the other threads linked to that original thread.
Or the IT pro's in that thread made SE look bad.
IDK, its all I could come up with.
I am also getting lag issues, lag spikes and freezes. The problem started at the beginning of this week. When I play I see people freezing for 1 or 2 seconds and start moving again. In a party it is ridiculous because the lag is horrible and I am sure there is nothing wrong with my internet.
Why am I getting a reason from players for this E90000 / lag problem and not the company???? I have learned more in the last 5 minutes reading this thread, than I have in the last few weeks from dev messages...... That is pathetic. Perhaps you may want to hire a few of these people/players that took the initiative to look into this.
Is there even a hint of when this lag problem will be fixed? When is the next maintenance? Until then I guess I'm just leveling some crafting and gathering eh?
Same issues here. I lag constantly every few minutes, so I just guess heal. In dungeons it gets so bad that I get dc'd every few minutes. I can sometimes play a few minutes before getting hit by the 90000 demon. I love this game. I've dealt with -ALL- of the issues it's thrown at me since Phase 4. But this one, this one is by far the most annoying. I am however very happy that it's extremely easy to log on now though. But imagine the day or so we had before they updated the servers: *gets kicked off* Oh look another 4 hours to try to log on! XD
Pretty much the same thing is happening to me. I'm considering just waiting it out until they fix it. I can't play with this lag :/
open your ports, turn on QoS and add the game as Highest priority (if your router supports it) and add the exceptions to your firewall and peerblocker programs. THIS DOES FIX IT!
That maybe fixed the lag issue to you, but not for me...
The only way to play the game right now, for me, is to use a VPN from Canada/US.
With that vpn i have no lag (only +20-40 ms to latency, which is playable).
I tried this morning without VPN, i logged in game, played for 3-4 mins without lag, then huge lag and disconnect. Tried again, 4-5 mins same thing. With VPN i can stay online for hours without any lag...
So, is clearly the problem is still there (in SE datacenter) for those who come from a side. Because using VPN, i get another server IP (from same server) so i enter on another "door" where is no lag... with vpn i get .32 server ip, with direct connection i get .47
I hope they will fix soon, because i dont want to use vpn forever to play a game...
