That's actually how it should be. People are not going to buy if they can easily get same or similar items for less at vendors. The savy will compare stats, and not pay high amounts for items with 1 difference in stat numbers of any benefit, when they can get another item for a lot less.

There are items on hyperion selling at far too high of prices, and simply, you are wasting gil to sell them on the Market by doing that. If the item is achievabl in a dungeon or npc there going the most cost effective route. Selling them equal too or higher then an NPC is just poor marketing planning, and negatively effects the balance of the economy. People in fc's eld for members as well.
