Keyboard maybe faster, but what we lacked in twitch skill mashing speed, we make up for in movement and camera control, IMO. Also, this is not a twitch game, the GCD is 2.5 seconds, and even Off-GCD has animations. Combined the GCD and animations with the fact that you can make macros and there is no real reason a Gamepad user is not just as effective as a keyboard user and this worked fine in 1.0 end game as well.

I am doing my best to get used to the cross-bar, but it is not nearly as fluid as the 1.0 system. Targeting seemed better towards the end of 1.0 as well, but I think FFXIV ARR targeting will get improvements as clicking, tab targeting, and controller based targeting all seem to have their issues right now.
