    I'm no hero friend, far from it, I'm just a fan with slightly more patience than the average person and want to figure out whats up. Like everyone else I want to log in, play I know the jp servers are hardly ever full (I only got 1 1017 with a jp server) yet I still try to play on the character I dedicated myself to and i'll be damned if I have it any other way.

    To be honest I would not be upset at all if it weren't for 2 factors. Factor 1 is that this is far from SE's first dance at the mmo rodeo. FFXI and FFXIV 1.0 and now ARR FFXIV. So technically this is their 3rd MMO launch. They should KNOW What to expect when launching a MMO. The 2nd factor is that I played through Trion Worlds first MMO launch Rift: Planes of Telara. This was their first outing in the MMO arena and the launch could not have gone smoother if they tried. Were there bugs? Of course. Were there stability / population issues? You betcha! Were these issues resolved in 24 hours or less? Damn right they were!!! If a new company can launch an MMO and not take a week to fix population issues then I would think that an established company with 2 other MMO's under their belt would be able to do the same!

    You are correct about this not being done in a timely manner, assuming they all live in japan, shipping the servers to the U.S/EU would take about 4-5 days, and be installed the next day, of course we are pushing the 7th day since they announced their plans to fix the problems.

    This is a real concern that needs to be addressed, no two ways about it.
    -Botters
    Botters hog up valuable space and ruin the game economy, adding both an afk kicker and a way to quickly report botters would have been a great hotfix.
    -Customer Support
    While I know they are under a lot of pressure I would like to see some general posts in the forums and quicker responses

    -So who are the "White knights" on the forums?-
    The people who are able to play the game, these people are either fans of the series, or like me, fans of this game. The reason I think you all are so angry and you try to log in for upwards of 7 hours is because you guys really like the game and really want to play it, nobody tries so hard to play a game they don't like. Honestly I was a steaming mad pile of hate and rage until I was actually logged in. Once I log in I really felt the passion put into the game, not as a final fantasy fan but as a fresh set of eyes. This game was the game made from a desperate company trying to create something good.
    Which is honestly the best way to make a game, because you are forced to be creative and work hard, I looked up the other day that the original Final Fantasy was called Final Fantasy because it was literally their Final game if it was not successful.

    -So am I a Final Fantasy fan-boy or not?-
    Short answer: No, I am merely a fan of THIS game.

    -How can you not be angry?-
    I bought this game with my own money and for the love of god I was FURIOUS
    but, once i managed to bypass all the errors, registration problems, log in issues and disconnections. I was able to calm down and enjoy the game, so yes, you guys are rightfully mad, but with it being the last stretch it's high time we calm down and prepare to enjoy the game

    -Do I regret writing this for all the potential grief I will get?-
    Yes, but I already wrote the whole thing

    -Side note-
    I have been on this forum for a while and I know how to solve many of the problems, feel free to ask a question on how to patch these up

    Couldn't have said any of this better myself. Although, with one difference, I am a total fanboy and I love this franchise and the creativity it has spawned within me, so I want to see it successful as well.

    You misunderstand: SE is experienced in this field. We are all aware that it takes time for things to be configured and/or shipped across the world and installed. What you continue to ignore is that this is not the first time SE has launched a title...it's not even the first time they launched THIS title. I find it difficult grasping that SE didn't anticipate this. These sorts of problems should've been resolved PRIOR to launch, not the week later that it reasonably takes to ship, configure and install things.

    A lot of people are here just because it's final fantasy and that's a damn fine reason to be here.

    I only played the original Final Fantasy and some of Final Fantasy 7. I was in love with the first one, mostly because of red mage and I played some XI because of the red mage too. But I never consider myself a Final fantasy fan, I just consider myself a fan of THIS game.

    The big question I have here is why by all that is holy would they keep the servers for their NA/EU clusters in Japan? Even if they were to keep them in Japan it takes 12 hours to fly nonstop from LAX to Nagasaki (at least thats what it took me back in 1993 when I was on my way to my duty station in Sasebo Japan) so 4 days to ship are a bit on the extreme side. Square Enix is a large company who has millions of dollars at it's disposal. Trifling matters like server capacity should be a non issue for them.

    Mistakes were made on SE's part, they should have prepared ahead of time, but they didn't, hindsight is 20/20 all we can hope for now is that they do it quickly from here on out, honestly though, I'd rather them take it slow and do it right, even if it drags on another week, that's just my opinion
