You can still get arsehats in the military. You get bad apples in every group, etcetera.
WOW....just wow....words can't really express the level of emotion I'm feeling towards you right now. Good job, and thanks a lot. I'll be sure to let the families of my friends know that they were just "claiming" to be in the military when they passed away. I have nothing else to say because honestly, words escape me at the moment. Yeah, I'm totally an "arsehat" too by the way, because I want people to stop acting like cavemen about a video game....right.

I joined in Apr 03, got out in Dec 12. Iraq in 04-05 out of Korea, and Afghan from 06-07. Yep, pulled that out of my ass too.

To everyone else complaining about my analogy, thank you for continuing to prove my point. To the guy above me, no, you can't....read the EULA. Jesus. Compensation is not a refund, unless I'm totally missing something.

Hun, you really need to tone down the melodrama and read what I'm actually saying, not what you think I'm saying.

And honestly, you need to quit posting assumptions about people you know absolutely NOTHING about.

My entire point was that people need to stop attacking SE left and right, and acting like spoiled children. I fail to see how questioning my military background has anything to do with that.

    Quite right.

I don't know you. I don't know your military background, or indeed whether you have any. Military history or current status is entirely irrelevant to how you play FFXIV ARR, or your potential arsehatiness.

My points were (again, in general terms):
    1. So many faceless people claim on the internet to be in the military that a good portion of them most likely aren't. Like those people who like to pretend they're police officers and hang out on police forums talking themselves up as if they were.
    2. Being in the military (or any organisation) does not prevent a person from being an arsehat. Case in point - the guards at Abu Ghraib.

How do you get from the above to assuming I'm calling all military personnel who died in the line of duty arsehats, or posers?

Melodrama, and fair bit of assuming on your part, that's how.

I love you. It's hard to find other people who actually say what they mean, so I love seeing stuff like this. Words used for their meaning with no intention of emotional undertone.

Now if only more people were able to do this.

Being in the military, though admirable, is not an excuse for being stupid. Stupid is still stupid. No one gets a free pass.

Also, true military men and women never use it as an excuse for anything because they have something called integrity. Maybe you should look it up.

Yet again more and more people showing how ignorant they are. "True" military? How many military guys go to bars and brag about it to score? You really need to re-evaluate what you think you know. There are PLENTY, beyond plenty, of personnel that use excuses, for EVERYTHING in the military....from PT scores, to promotions. Again, people really need to shut up and stop talking about something they know nothing about. I'd rather be me then, who has severe issues I won't get into from the Army, and actually never stated or bragged he was in the Army while he was in, then be a "true" soldier. Thanks. The military isn't chock full of noble, white knights on horses, that much, I will educate you on. They do exist, but in far less numbers then the media or civilians seem to think.

Stupid is stupid? I fail to see even remotely how I'm even close to stupid, because I want people to act like adults. This board, and its denizens, prove time and time again how terrible it is to be lumped into the group known as "gamers". It's embarrassing. It's stupid to expect people to act like adults, but totally cool to ignore the person filing BBB complaints against a company for a refund they agreed they wouldn't ask for. Lol. Brilliant.

    1. A product can still be refunded despite terms you sign to, maybe you didn't learn that in school.
    2. Check the website, all complaints have been resolved with action by the company. Meaning he did get the refund.
