    I'm able to hit start but once I go into the character selection screen nothing loads up at all no menu's, no buttons, no character. I think they're rebooting all the servers and just adding the new ones now, there is no need to waste time keeping the others running when and delaying the process even longer. I doubt it'll be back up today, possibly tomorrow morning.

    this is due to the fact that the server is trying to load that information for you. What im confused about is why that kind of info is not kept offline >.<

    It's nice that you guys can actually see your START button. As of this afternoon, I click FFXIV icon and it wants me to put in a new access code........ The one I received for early access is not working anymore. Can someone assist me seeing as support website is down?

    I had to log onto one of the websites (God help me if I can remember which one), and enter the access code that came with the game. NOT the pre-order code/early access code. If I can figure out which site it was I'll post it.

    Edit: I think it was this site...although it's down for maintenance

    soo tempting...

    I can sometimes click the "start" button, but then once I am in my characters do not show up or I can't select my server or it just doesn't load... SE has some serious server issues to fix. They must of thought no one was going to buy their game. Definitely not happy, but we will see what SE does to fix that.

    You need your actual product code now. Early Access codes were only extended to 8/29. If you brought physical media, you should have a code in the package.

    Depending on how you purchased a digital download, you may have gotten an email somewhere between 8/26 and 8/29 with the final product code. It is possible it went into your junk folder. If you use an email client to get mail, it may not have picked it up and you will need to use your ISP's web interface to retrieve it from your junk folder there. SE had issues with Hotmail at one point, so it may have not even gotten delivered at all.

    Alternatively, you may be able to recover the code for your digital downloads by going back to who you bought it from. With Gamestop, you will need to download/install their download/install manager, log in, and look at the games on the account. There will be an icon for product code by the final release listing--click that to get your code. Most other sites should be able to get your code when you log in to their site or otherwise pull up your order history.

    The lobby system and such are experiencing intermittent connectivity/response issues. Traces to them are sometimes stalling en-route or otherwise just taking a long time to respond. I've submitted a ticket with my particular netstat/trace results... but that team is off today. Posted something about it here, but it keeps scrolling off the front page, so I don't know if it's gotten through to them or not.

    Hopefully the bulk of this will go away after they put in new hardware and reconfig things tomorrow night.
