All I've really seen is people wanting the AI for the summon's tweaked a bit, at least with scholar.
OP, thank you for sharing your opinion, but it's just that... opinion. If you want to share your opinion AND want people to actually consider it as anything more than whiny prattle then take long enough to consider and propose some solutions to what you don't like. Otherwise it comes across as "I don't like this but I'm not sure what I would like" ... which makes you look like an idiot or someone who complains just to complain. In reality these kinds of posts make it harder for the truly constructive threads to accomplish anything.

It's because the game got WoWDice/EQDice with endless grindless quests. At least in 1.0 you had quest, and leves which were in any of the crystals. It made it easy, and fun. Also don't forget the separation of zones. I miss back in 1.0 the world was open without this annoying.
As you guys may or may not have noticed, all the excited threads about a new final fantasy MMO are dying out, and being replaced with the stuff from the beta boards.
Some people will continue to defend this game with their life forever. But the flaws or shortcuts this game has will make it short lived.
I dont know how they can really fix this stuff, because they have already went too far.
1. Too much button spam.
2. Too many useless spam quests for a sliver of xp.
3. Summoner has to be an inside joke at SE on all summoner fans.
4. All equipment binds.
5. There is still no auction house. The market board is not good enough. Why cant we buy just one out of a stack?
6. Archer / bard just doesnt make any sense. A harp bow... really?
7. Item repairs arent as bad as they used to be, i still hate em tho.
8. The armory system is just bad, and it screws over the jobs attached to them.
9. Equipment stats are boring.
Seems there is just alot of half assed design decisions, that may or may not have anything to do with the PS3.
1. No Contest.
2. This is what people wanted. This is what they had to do to cater to the majority. People complain that they aren't there, then complain when they are. However, there seems to be more profit in the latter. There you go.
3. This one made me giggle, otherwise no opinion as I have been avoiding leveling ACN too quickly.
4. I can't say for sure if I like or dislike this. It keeps the market fresh for crafters, but at the same time a huge gil sink. I suppose it is necessary.
5. Honestly the market board works perfectly for what it's needed for. Missing one feature isn't enough to claim it's not "good enough." Though I do agree that it's pretty dumb that 2.0 removed a useful feature from 1.0.
6. Would you prefer bards whack mobs melee-style with their harp? I think it's pretty fitting. Does your hammer not have a claw to pull nails? Does that look dumb to you?
7. Repairs are too care-bear. Screw gear repair, bring back XP loss. How 'bout them apples?
8. I don't really understand what you mean. It's a free 325 slots of inventory space you never had before. Well, 225 if you subtract 1.0's space in the end. Seriously, this is a complaint?
9. There's a reason I don't play Diablo anymore.
Speak for yourself OP.
The excited threads have tapered off because people are playing until their eyes cross, reluctantly logging off to get a few hours sleep, then immediately start playing again when they wake up. They are too busy having fun to come here and argue with a vocal, but tiny number of naysayers.
If I wasn't at work I'd be playing right now.
And people were expecting comparable summons to previous single player Final Fantasy games why exactly? One does not simply, willy nilly summon a full-size Ifrit to wander in and use Hellfire in an MMO environment. They created a smaller, more reasonable replacement that could understandably be used by larger portions of a given world's population. Essentially baby summons. Not everyone can be a Rydia, Garnet, Eiko, or Yuna.
