Seems that new game smell is wearing off a little bit

Naa, what im saying is, they are continuing to ruin the FF franchise, and adding to the dumbing down of MMO's in general.

This one would like to point out that this game is one of the most difficult it has played in several years. The level 35-50 dungeons quests are as difficult as 16 man Hard Mode Kephess was in SWTOR easily. This one agrees with the preceeding posters, if one does not enjoy this game, please open a space for someone who will, as there are 3 million of them.

I agree with you to some degree, however I don't believe anything was "half-assed". You can definitely tell that some things were rushed, like the look of the Summons. There are quite a few clunky design choices as well. Mounts are very stilted and unfluid, and render you unable to interact with anything at all while mounted. I don't need to be prompted that I'm entering a zone where a mount is forbidden. Just dismount me automatically.

It's still more fluid than FFXI but not by much. There's a lot of button spamming and "confirming", however it would be remiss to say that the game doesn't have an incredible amount of potential. I think with time they can improve the game into something amazing. Also it's clear that they are listening and communicating with the community, which makes me excited about what they have in store for upcoming updates.

Summoner used to be one of my favorite classes.. But FF summons haven't been any good since about 10. The summon designs for this game just look.. awful. hopefully with expansions summoners will be able to call on interesting, cool looking beasts.

I'm hoping we get the Zodiac summons from the Ivalice (FFT / FFXII) universe since Yoshida will only let us have the cutesy versions of the main FF avatars. I loved being a Taru in FFXI and having a giant Titan following me around.

New game smell hasn't left. People are probably just tired of arguing, or realize it is pointless. You don't like the game and plan to leave. That's fine. Rather than arguing with you or begging you to stay, I'm in game enjoying it. And judging by the full world errors, I'm certainly not the only one.

I think most people aren't bum rushing to 50 and legitimately enjoying the game without people like you picking the game apart for asinine reasons. If you have a complaint or if you don't like a specific feature about the game then make a suggestion to the developers. They've been listening.

Different strokes for different folks I guess. Im sorry you arent enjoying this game or the Final Fantasy Franchise in general. I happen to love the latest Final Fantasy games excluding XII and have a blast with Final Fantasy XIV.

Too much button spam.
Too many useless spam quests for a sliver of xp.
Summoner has to be an inside joke at SE on all summoner fans.
All equipment binds.
There is still no auction house. The market board is not good enough. Why cant we buy just one out of a stack?
Archer / bard just doesnt make any sense. A harp bow... really?
Item repairs arent as bad as they used to be, i still hate em tho.
The armory system is just bad, and it screws over the jobs attached to them.
Equipment stats are boring.

1. It is way better than 1.0, I like it.
2. That is something the community asked for, you can also level in other ways, not just questing.
3. Sorry, summoner is awesome, being able to tank and dd and support a bit, how is that even close to "be a joke"
4. It binds yes, because it is soul bound to let you transform these into materia, if you don't want it to bind get a second piece you won't use. Idk about you but I think it helps crafters a lot to sell items in a stable non spammed environment.
5. Yoshi said it is intended this way. Think of it as how it will work when the market settles down, more items in stock = cheaper than few items in stock.
6. I love my archer / bard...
7. Nothing to do with it, every MMO with gear system has them to be repaired in a way or another.
8. I do not see your point of how it is bad, I like it, more space and enables class/job change very quickly.
9. You will not see big numbers like in WoW, ever, if that's what you're looking for.

As others say, I don't think these are "problems" or "flaws" but more like you did not like the design of these, which is valid. But the bast majority is having a blast at the moment with what you dislike. If you could probably add suggestions to modify these then this thread would have some valid points, but as now it just looks like things you don't like vented out.
