Tried both calling and live chat. Both have just been just disconnecting me. Hope the email I got yesterday will have some promise. I will jut have to see and wait.
Also does anybody know if making a new character on your account 2 will mess up the process of linking your account 1 & account? Because I jonesing to play some FFXIV.
Yea, whoever designed it in the first place needs to rethink their process a little bit better to make it more "oops" proof. If only i had of planned ahead of time to have complications, i wouldn't be in this mess to begin with.Be careful what you wish for. EA might have a problem right around the corner. At this point we either dread waiting, or dread being kicked out of the chat queue without a response. Either way their registration method is what cause the issue in the first place, which I believe they should still overhaul the mogstation page so new players don't run into this issue as well.
Well I entered live chat queue around 11am this morning and it said 34 minutes but i knew it wasn't right because i was 374 in queue and around 2pm I connected finally. After verifying my info found out i miss put in my dob apparently but she said i was just a little off the month and year were right and asked my if i had any guesses i replied " I have 30" and she said I am sorry I cannot tell you the answer but if you guess it I can say ok. So after 16 guesses I was right... lol. Anyways immediately after she just said blah blah your ticket has been escalated and we cannot tell how long it will take but be patient blah blah.
For me its ok because I have 12 free days left but a friend of mine already ran out and cannot play till its fixed.
Customer service agents generally don't use their real name, and it is not usual for many of them to use the same name.

i couldn't agree more.What Square Enix and a lot of companies don't understand is that customer service is one of the most important parts of a customer business. Amazon is where it is today because its customer service people are quick and will bend over backwards to make sure you are happy with your purchase.
When I worked in a 4 star hotel back in the day, we were always told that customers who had problems that were fixed quickly returned as customers more than those who never has problems. Point being, people appreciate and love those who truly show a company cares.
with so many people having issues, there are very overwhelemd, so a wait is to be expected. However once that wait is over you should never be told that you are "requesting" something to be done and that you are not "guaranteed" that it will be done like i was told once they picked up the phones. They should take a queue from most mom and pop type business and make you feel special when you walk in the door.....

-admit this specific problem on the news page
-provide a specific form to fill out for it
-provide a method to show where in line you are before it gets fixed
Even if it said 2 days, as long as someone can see a legitimate countdown, people would ease up quite a bit.
The fact is, no one knows when things are going to get fixed until it happens. That is not a way to run things.
