New player here, just got to 50, beat story, doing instances and dungeons.

Generally speaking, do not let morons hurt you, simply blacklist the player and move on, for every single one like him there will be a hundred who are not. And if someone get's really nasty, you can always report them, though I am sure most would say simply blacklisting them is enough. I don't agree, offensive and abusive players are not an asset to the community and either need to change their behavior or leave.

OP needs to find a Linkshell or a Free Company to do content like that with. This type of behavior is synonymous with any type of public match making game be it Final Fantasy, Left 4 Dead, or Call of Duty. Personally I rather wait for my FC to schedule events so I dont have to deal with people like that in the Duty Finder.

So I enter a hard mode ifrit fight, which is easy, but the other healer kept healing with cleric stance and only used cure once in awhile and would stop it if he thought i was healing the person he was, while I did the heavy work.

Now that's not the problem. We had several wipes, I grew tired, there was nobody with aoe limit break for the nails so I said I'm tired and going to go.

The DPS in that group probably queued for almost an hour, only to have one of the healers leave within a few attempts. That makes you worthy of scorn. This is not a single player game, your actions have effects on other players.

You're completely off base here my friend. Sure, it would be nice if everyone could set aside several hours for repeated attempts on a difficult/long fight, but not everyone can. Everyone should remember that each person has their own priorities and life, and if someone can only spare time for 2 runs, that's what they can spare, it does not make them worthy of scorn or abuse. As much as the OP could/should have made their time constraint clear (perhaps they did so), the other players should equally recognize that in a multi-player party, over the course of 2+ hours, some people will have to leave.

Furious is Furious. You're assuming a whole lot to come to that conclusion. I assume you came here to vent after having a bad experience yourself, but might I suggest you find a more productive way to do so rather than lashing out on random people that are just looking for solace after a disheartening situation.

I am sorry this happened to you... this is normal in MMO's. No matter how nice a majority of the community is, you always have that small percentage that likes to be utterly rude/elitist and only think of themselves. I know I've dealt with that type, and I am sure everyone in this game has at least once.

Please don't let it get to you... if you haven't found a really nice LS/FC look for one that is active in doing events within the group. I have a wonderful group myself, and I've done 99.9% of my instances with my LS and try to help anyone in my group that needs a run or fight. I only had to do the duty finder once to find a healer. No, what you just posted was a jerk move. As a healer with health issues that can unexpectedly force me to leave a group prematurely, you are the worthy of scorn for putting a GAME ahead of someone's well-being.

But what you aren't realizing is maybe she had been waiting for a while? Maybe she'd already attempted this with others groups? We don't know, and it doesn't matter. Her leaving shouldn't have gotten that reaction, and isn't worthy of scorn. If she had only stayed for one run and then been like 'oh you guys suck I'm leaving' yeah maybe, but she stayed for several wipes and tried to help.

But you are right, this is a multi-player game so people should respect the fact that others will have to come and go at points. The actions and attitudes of people here on the forums and in game have an effect on players. Everyone should be more respective, kinder and more understanding of one another.

And it has no bias, it was taken from the chat log directly. All I said was I'm done and tired. That gives no right for people to say such things, never does anyone deserve that.

Lol. this is the most ridiculous thing I have ever read. I dont care how long someone has queued. If they use abusive language at me I am leaving the instance and reporting/blacklisting them.
