Considering sales have been halted you may even be able to get a better price than what you paid for. But this doesn't really solve the problem.Sorry guys.. I caved in and bought the upgrade. I recommend you all do the same, it's at least better than trying to deal with Square Enix's joke of a help desk.. I just sold my CE key on ebay for 50$ and bought the digital upgrade with 30$ to spare. Seems like the best solution to this problem for now...
doesnt help when you want the physical items...Sorry guys.. I caved in and bought the upgrade. thats what i was gonna end up doing if i got nothing from customer support before they are closed for the weekend. way i look it at, is yea i am giving them 20$ but they are losing 60$ on someone from buying the CE
Yeah I kept the physical items, and just sold the code alone.
4 days after my ticket all i see is that they close all tickets. I known that ppl is sending stupid tickets and they need to handle it somehow but...meh. I still have 10 days free in my account, i'll wait till then, if i dont get a solution the best one will be to sell the key on ebay or a friend and buy the upgrade. And its thats the case i'll never buy anything from S-E store again, thats for sure.
Unfortunately just selling a key doesn't fix the fact that they should be addressing these issues. Yes they had information informing people of 1.0 account status when buying CE, yet the information wasn't posted in the best places. I had to hunt it down on the forums, it should be on the purchase page, on their facebook page, on their twitter and pinned to the front of the forums.4 days after my ticket all i see is that they close all tickets. if anything it will screw SE out of money, which is what they are trying to do to us. by selling our CE code for 20$ then rebuying the upgrade for 20$, they make 100$ from just us for collector's editions, but they lose 80$ from the people buying the codes at 20$. so in turn they make 100$ instead of 160$, which is being caused by their continuing on ignoring this issue and telling people to get a refund when a refund is not only unavailable for PC games with CD keys, but those that purchased from SE's store cant get a refund period since they stated they are not giving any refunds(if we buy physical copy we want out physical item, refunding would also result in us giving back our items). for every person that sells their CE code and buys the upgrade SE loses 60$, or they could fix this issue and let us upgrade our account with the code we purchased leaving the others to purchase the CE if they desire or regular game with them still making more money than they would lose the other way.

This needs to stay on the front page.
