Seriously though, that's actually one of the reasons they're portraying us as adventurers rather than heroes, because not everyone is a combat specialist, and this isn't our story to quote FFX, it's more we're actually wrapped up into something already preexisting and they're building us up. The engine is the reason FFXIII was as it was, so XIV can likely do the same thing but XIII's storyline was a constant fight for survival, nothing of that nature has happened in XIV yet but it looks to be approaching.

Exactly. This is why I brought this concern up - I am very worried my Japanese counterpart at Square-Enix may not be aware of this vital necessity of properly portraying our characters in a proper role in the context of the upcoming conflict with the Garlean Empire.
