FFXIV wheres the MMO?

So FFXIV is suppose to be a MMO but one thing is really missing Playing with others. I hit level 50 today solo doing quest and fates Except for maybe 2 levels exp came from dungeons "Maybe" but aside from that there is no real partying with others. Kinda sucks cause I would like to level another job to 50 but burning fates is really boring. So maybe when level cap 51+ comes there can be places to level as a party? 100-200% exp bonus while EXPing would be nice.


Edit don't get me wrong I like the game a lot just found the leveling system really boring, And level 51 is 526k exp that's a lot of fates. Unless they add fates that are common and give 25k
Yes there are some that give you 25k+ now but they take 30mins to an hour.

Well first off, I do find a problem with the fact that you were able to so easily and quickly get to 50 in the first place alone *sigh*
However, now that you are 50 I hear there are quite a few dungeons and other end game content which is impossible alone, perhaps you should find a group or guild who has interests in doing these end game instances and see how far you get that way. As far as i'm concerned you havn't finished the game until you've defeated Bahamut which Yoshi says he would be surprised if anyone finished before the next patch. Goodluck.

Yeah almost done with main quest. I do have a FC but now is not the time for end game content cause people are busy getting to lvl 50.

There's a party system, then you can play with others. You chose to solo then come complain about it?

Yes there is a party system but it doesn't give as much exp as burning fate's.

You get a exp % bonus if you do fates in a full Party ... and you didn't really solo if you did fates because most fates are impossible or near it to solo.

A Fate doesn't count as a Exp Party.

woohoo, yay, congrats, you're 50...now don't start complaining that you're bored less than a week after early launch.

I didn't say I was bored of the game itself, I said that burning fates is boring.

I'll never understand why people complain about soloing when there's nothing preventing them from making a party if it really bothers them that much. Oh, it's slower and you don't want to wait for people? Then why the hell are you complaining about soloing?

I'm complaining because the fact that you get more exp from doing Fates over doing an exp party. I would have loved being in a party grinding mobs if the exp wasn't crap and the few dungeons that give good exp take forever kill one mob.

The only other MMO I played was FFXI for 8 years so I've been around and there was no way to get to 50cap 75cap back in the day before abyssea in just a few short days. Only thing I'm saying is that when the next level cap comes I hope there are better ways to get exp other than Fates.

You should have played with plenty of people by 50....you have played in the dungeons, right?

The fact that you are level 50 already speaks volume. Try slowing things down a bit and enjoy the content.

Game is great, no need to change, maybe can be improved. Options are amazing to have. No need to deal with other people ever if you should choose. However if you are social, there are TONS of things you can do, if you only reach out and "touch" someone. I am glad they give people options, even those anti social need a game too. I am sure there are tons of little things that can be improved over time - but for a relaunch, this game is beyond amazing in every way, there is always something to do.

I'm in a party all the time. Dungeons (which are supposed to be the main progression content) require a party, and anyone smart is in a party for open world FATEs like Behemoth.

I'd recommend slowing your roll and interacting with other players. A member of our Free Company (Hokuten Knights shout-out!) started a linkshell for all of the folks he's chatted with while fishing. Now they share fishing tips, bait, and even meet up to just shoot the breeze while they level it.

I don't know why you're surprised to find that playing an MMO solo, grinding FATEs to end-game, and not experiencing any of the other volumes of content is boring...

I've been having a blast doing fate circuits in full parties at the early 30's and dungeoning/guildhests. I think people are right when they said you probably tried to level way too fast. I'm sure 50 will be a lot more fun when people catch up to you.

My only criticism with group play is that you can't do many main story instances together. I really wish they had an option to scale them up for party play and allow guests to help you with class duties.
