in my case, i get bsod randomly.
cutscenes, running around a random area (populated/empty)...surprisingly never during a fight.

Hmm I know that FFXI had issues with DEP (Data Execution Prevention) you could try white listing the game. Details: http://i.imgur.com/9A7aK6n.jpg
That is really reaching into my bag of tricks without having you test every single compatibility mode. You could link and dump event logs and such and I could take a look at it.
I would suggest targetting this EXE but it won't hurt to add all of them since they are trusted apps. {DRIVE}:\{FF14 Install Location}\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn\game\ffxiv.exe
Also BSOD's on a Windows 7 machine make me immediately think of a hardware issue over software; more so if it's random in nature. I recommend running some sort of Burn-in test (Prime95 or Furmark) to stress your machine to show the leaks. If your machine crashes on those tests after about 45mins to an hour you have bigger issues.
Anyone who have problem have tested with Dev Driver 326.84 as il have suggested in page 2 ? It fix issue for many personn after i have suggered to him.

I'm in way over my head with all this stuff lol, but I tried to do this and it wouldn't let me add it to the list: "This program must run with data execution protection (DEP) enabled. You cannot turn off DEP for this program."Hmm I know that FFXI had issues with DEP (Data Execution Prevention) you could try white listing the game. Details: http://i.imgur.com/9A7aK6n.jpg

As for how it crashes, the game freezes, sound effects continue for a few seconds (probably just finishes playing the ones that have already started), my two side monitors occasionally get massive tearing. This only lasts a second or two though, as it all then goes black and my monitors switch off due to "no DVI input". BGM continues to play but everything else is entirely responsive and I have to hard reset.
Are you absolutely sure all your temps are good? Also have you ran a memory test?
This really sounds like a driver fault; If you are using an Nvidia GPU I am using the 320.49 drivers with no problems. I would also suggest disabling any and all application overlays if you have them (Steam, Xfire, Axon, EVGA Precision, etc.) as this might improve stability.I'm in way over my head with all this stuff lol, but I tried to do this and it wouldn't let me add it to the list: "This program must run with data execution protection (DEP) enabled. Also I would check out the 326.84 drivers as Isenwan_AngelSoul pointed out. Another question I have is do you know if you crash when the in-game weather is raining? or have you ever saw the in-game rain?
I'm using 320.49 driver now, and have used 2 other drivers, with absolutely no discernible difference. Weather doesn't seem to be a factor, I've seen most weather types, and have crashed at seemingly random times, including in the character select screen and in indoor dungeons. Temperature and load certainly don't seem to be factors either, more often than not I've crashed with very few models on screen rather than in high load areas (probably just because I don't tend to spend a lot of time in high load areas). And changing PhysX to CPU doesn't seem to have made a difference either, lasted about an hour that time, which is fairly normal.
How do I go about running a memory test?
If you are using Windows 7 (perhaps Vista too)
Windows Key + R (or use Run) and type in "mdsched" follow onscreen prompts. Let this run for about an hour (in the meantime you won't be able to use your machine so go grab some lunch or something).

Type windows memory diagnostic on the search bar when you press the windows key.It will restart your computer and commence a memory test.
Are you referring to the driver posted in this thread?
http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread....20#post4645120
I haven't tried it yet but I may after I give 326.80 some more testing. Reading the information in that thread it seems 326.84 is an incomplete driver and only includes changes in OpenGL, meaning you will need to keep the PhysX files from 326.80, is that correct?
I may have made a mistake in thinking I was on 326.80 when I made my first post when I was actually on 326.41 Either way I want to give 326.80 its fair shot before attempting a move to 326.84 (unless NVIDIA throws it up on their site). Either way, with the server issues its hard to get into the game to test but I played last night for about two hours without any issue with 326.80, but that doesn't mean much as I have been able to play for twice that length of time before problems started arising.
I will hopefully get more testing done this Saturday when can play for an extended period of time (servers willing). If 326.80 crashes and burns (as I expect it will) I will then give 326.84 a try. Also, I am going to attempt to do a better stress test using furmark or prime95. While Uniengine can be stressful for a graphics card, I don't think it stresses the whole system, like Prime95 or Furmark do, which is what I (and probably everyone else) need to do now to verify system stability outside of the game. I will probably do that tonight and post the results. I assume if my machine can make it through a one hour stress test with either (or both) my machine is probably fine and just as capable as anyone else's that isn't have problems.
I will also look into the possible PhysX workaround posted above. I don't know if FFXIV uses PhysX (it would be nice if it does, being an NVIDIA user) but it's worth a shot regardless.
