Same. I'll try the physX on CPU thing after work, but from what I've experienced and read, it has absolutely no relation to drivers.

    yea, i agree...dont think its a driver/hardware issue...
i think the client randomly picks players and forces our computers to crash to help with the server congestion...

as i said before, a pc cafe with almost identical build with mine runs perfectly fine.

Honestly with all these issues that people are experiencing (including the MSVC++ Pure Virtual Calls) I am suspecting that people are getting corrupted game assets. I detect some sarcasm but unless they specifically coded in a fault to crash your client when they wanted to I don't think that is the case.

So far I haven't had any issues with my GTX 680 and I am using the 320.49 Drivers; I have PhysX set to CPU and Vsync turned off.

When the game crashes does it just ctd? or does it hang up? Also does it happen more frequently in loaded areas or is it just completely random?

in my case, i get bsod randomly.
cutscenes, running around a random area (populated/empty)...surprisingly never during a fight.

Hmm I know that FFXI had issues with DEP (Data Execution Prevention) you could try white listing the game. Details: http://i.imgur.com/9A7aK6n.jpg

That is really reaching into my bag of tricks without having you test every single compatibility mode. You could link and dump event logs and such and I could take a look at it.

I would suggest targetting this EXE but it won't hurt to add all of them since they are trusted apps. {DRIVE}:\{FF14 Install Location}\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn\game\ffxiv.exe

Also BSOD's on a Windows 7 machine make me immediately think of a hardware issue over software; more so if it's random in nature. I recommend running some sort of Burn-in test (Prime95 or Furmark) to stress your machine to show the leaks. If your machine crashes on those tests after about 45mins to an hour you have bigger issues.

I'm in way over my head with all this stuff lol, but I tried to do this and it wouldn't let me add it to the list: "This program must run with data execution protection (DEP) enabled. You cannot turn off DEP for this program."

As for how it crashes, the game freezes, sound effects continue for a few seconds (probably just finishes playing the ones that have already started), my two side monitors occasionally get massive tearing. This only lasts a second or two though, as it all then goes black and my monitors switch off due to "no DVI input". BGM continues to play but everything else is entirely responsive and I have to hard reset.

This really sounds like a driver fault; If you are using an Nvidia GPU I am using the 320.49 drivers with no problems. I would also suggest disabling any and all application overlays if you have them (Steam, Xfire, Axon, EVGA Precision, etc.) as this might improve stability.

Also I would check out the 326.84 drivers as Isenwan_AngelSoul pointed out. Another question I have is do you know if you crash when the in-game weather is raining? or have you ever saw the in-game rain?

I'm using 320.49 driver now, and have used 2 other drivers, with absolutely no discernible difference. Weather doesn't seem to be a factor, I've seen most weather types, and have crashed at seemingly random times, including in the character select screen and in indoor dungeons. Temperature and load certainly don't seem to be factors either, more often than not I've crashed with very few models on screen rather than in high load areas (probably just because I don't tend to spend a lot of time in high load areas). And changing PhysX to CPU doesn't seem to have made a difference either, lasted about an hour that time, which is fairly normal.

How do I go about running a memory test?
