I see so many PUG early phase 4 and early access .. then i see a huge drop of them on my server suddenly. Just people not liking them and the play style? I mean its irritating with no AOE but other than that i enjoy monk. I wonder if they are going to be worth it in the very end.. hmm. What do you guys think? I was thinking about switching to Marauder cause my little group needs a tank but I just need some feed back about PUG/mnks if anyone has any

As others have said, class requires good positioning and rotation management compared to other DPS classes. Our utility seems on the weaker side compared to classes like THM/BLM and BRD - at least in the 30s. This may change later on with the addition of 2 stuns, an INT debuff, and matra - though it still seems rather weak.

In terms of raw DPS, apparently ARC/BRD had the highest numbers in phase 3. This was followed by DRG/MNK about even, and BLM last in terms of single target DPS. Things may have changed since then, and only time will tell. As for DRG versus MNK, DRG def has higher burst. It's still too early in terms of ARN/SMN, and I've only ever come across one decent one(his DPS was comparable to mine) that wasn't "lost in the sauce" with topaz out causing tank/healer hardship during the dungeon run.
