Developers that cave into the demand for more servers *always* find themselves with underpopulated ghost towns afterwards.

It's simply inevitable, as the launch rush never lasts forever.
If only SOMEONE could make an MMO where 3 out of 4 players don't quit after a week
So in a way it's the devs fault. They don't want to invest in servers because they know deep down that they didn't make a game that will cause people to want to stay (not talking about SE here, just MMO devs in general)

It has absolutely nothing to do with people quitting. During the launch rush people log in a lot and stay logged in longer. Then the novelty wears off, and they set into a routine, logging in less and staying online for shorter periods, resulting in less overall traffic. It's a very normal pattern even for successful MMORPGs.

Ok, I understand and get this, but in the mean time, something needs to be done as a temporary work around to let all players get online to play right now. At this point, this is getting ridiculous. You can defend this all you want, but there are a lot of us out there that have paid money to play and now we basically have to wait a few additional weeks to even get online so the "novelty" wears off where worlds aren't full anymore.

I get that, but also there are A LOT of people who don't sub, further reducing the number
