LOL, so after SE allocated my EA to a second service account and still hasn't resolved anything, I buckled in and activated my CE to be met with 1017... Is there a single thing they aren't fucking up?
I thought of selling my CE earlier, but I'm not that keen on burning in hell for crimes against humanity...
Very frustrating that, for 5 days now, I haven't been able to play at all because I can only log in during peak hours. If the servers are so overloaded, why don't they open new servers and offer free transfers? I don't think limiting people allowed online fixes the major issue of not being able to play. I would willing go to a new server that has less people on it.
They aren't adding idle log out timers because they support botting; when players are done, a lot of them go idle for the 10, 20, or more hours, in order to not lose their server spot, and square has already publicly mentioned that they have no intention of adding idle logout timers or correcting this issue. (I.e. number padding)LOL, so after SE allocated my EA to a second service account and still hasn't resolved anything, I buckled in and activated my CE to be met with 1017... Can you prove that, I have never seen anything saying that. In fact earlier beta had afk kick, they definitely removed it for some stupid reason just like quest tracking. I think they are taking Japanese feedback without consulting NA/EU.They aren't adding idle log out timers because they support botting; when players are done, a lot of them go idle for the 10, 20, or more hours, in order to not lose their server spot, and square has already publicly mentioned that they have no intention of adding idle logout timers or correcting this issue. This is bullshit. Next week everything will be normalized. They aren't adding idle log out timers because they support botting; when players are done, a lot of them go idle for the 10, 20, or more hours, in order to not lose their server spot, and square has already publicly mentioned that they have no intention of adding idle logout timers or correcting this issue. Fan boy, much? Idle timers are a must. There's no excuse for not having them. See quote below:
No one cares about "next week" everyone who is legacy, or bought the game, or has paid for a subscription cares about right now. Even the MMOs that filled their servers never hit a login queue cap. If you can provide justification for why players shouldn't be logged out when they idle for 2 days, I'd love to hear it.
@bwalker36: Square hasn't refuted the claim; it sure looks that way.
An extremely easy solution would be idle log out timers that reset when actions / messages are sent to the server and character origin shifts. This is extremely easy to program. Extremely.
