    Unacceptable

    I find this unacceptable. You have only so many servers for North America AND Europe? You should NOT be having this issue on release of the game. The game play is awesome but you need better networking to back up a ton of people trying to access the game. Please fix this and fast or you will be losing money quickly!

    I was on Diabolos server. Finally gave up and made a character on Xion, hell I'm nearly caught up on quests and levels in one evening. I agree with flooding the JP servers

    They knew about this issue all through Early Access, they didn't fix it for the official launch.

    All the Japanese servers work

    Ours wont let you play, let alone get in a queue.

    This makes me mad I didn't cancel my pre-order. I was hesitating on it back and forth, but 12am rolled around and it was too late.

    I would have preferred to not bother subscribing until this mess is fixed. -.-

    SE, how stupid can you guys be? I am not new to MMO launches and have played since launches as early as Dark Age of Camelot and most since but right now the lack of proper queues and AFK timers is pretty fucking ridiculous!

    Queues and AFK timers are nothing new to MMO's so why don't you guys have these implemented? I finally saw the queue for the first time about 10 minutes ago, said 1 person ahead of then it boots me to the 1017 error. WTF, seriously?

    Boot AFK/inactive players FFS! No way my server has been full (legitimately full) since noon (eastern time) and still full 3 hours later. Get your shit together, this is ridiculous!

    I absolutely love this game, but if this doesn't get resolved before my 3 trial days are up I will NOT be inputting my code and will return my copy of this game. I refuse to let the first half of my free 30-days of game time get wasted by not being able to play due to such simple and common sense features being overlooked like this.

    I don't mind that SE is trying to get everything resolved or even if they pushed back the release date when Phase 4 started. What i do mind is not being informed on progress or status updates saying they are still working on a solution to the issue. The frustration wouldn't be so bad if I knew that they were still working on a solution. Just some confirmation on progress is all that I ask for. Please, just an update.

    Hmm - so let me get this straight - if you pay for a game that includes 30 days of free online play you are not really entitled to play until those 30 days are up and if you are lucky enough to get some play time during those first 30 days you should consider yourself lucky? All you paid for is the right to install the game on your PC/Console? If a game includes 30 days of as part of the package then you have paid for it and are entitled to expect to be able to log in and start playing. Of course any new online game can experience teething problems but I think what we have seen over the past few days goes far beyond that.

    I was able to read the latest letter from the producer in between login attempts (http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/70037) and not once did he mention the current problems. If you read the full letter it seems to have come from a parallel universe where everything went according to plan and we are all online playing as he writes. He ends his glowing letter with: "And now it’s time for this hardcore gamer to have some fun! See you all in Eorzea!!!" - we can only hope.
