Back around the time I was working on my first title, we had some major issues crop up towards the end of development. It was just a small team of us. About 10 total. Only two programmers though, myself being one of them. Due to how many hours I had been pulling, and the sheer frustration, it about brought me to tears. I've said to several of my friends, during various tirades that the truth of the matter is likely that the developers have reached the point of tears due to how things have been going. This problem is exponentially worse than what I was facing at that time. I can't help but feel for them.

The venom that has been coming out of our community is shameful. I get the "we're the customer!" stuff, but being a customer does not, in any way, give anyone the right to lash out in such a fashion. Expressing your feelings is one thing, but personal attacks are down right juvenile, and as above, quite sad.

Except, there have been personal attacks.

Also, they didnt ask us to not use a different data center, to my knowledge. The info, found here: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...he-LIVE-Letter

states "So let me make it clear that we're not separating the worlds by language. For those who want to play with players outside of their region, they will have the choice of selecting a world that's located in another region."

also, http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm21691113 You can see the video there. There arent translations. You can likely find those somewhere, but here you are.
