I'm not going to cancel my pre-order, or write nasty letters to SE, because ffxiv is, to me anyway, a really fun game. Now how about you all quit crying, suck it up, and act like adults, and try to do something productive... like stop trying to log in every 3 seconds. That does make it harder for them to fix the problem.

An "adult" should be enraged by an inferior product that has once failed already and the unprofessional-ism in a premature launch that a corporation the size of square enix should easily have anticipated. Not being angry over what is occurring now is really ignorant. I suppose if you're extremely beta and like being used/abused/mistreated your entire life, then that's probably fine with you. Why is there an exception to the rule as far as quality or dependability is concerned when it comes to an MMO? You buying power should be respected no matter how it is used, regardless if it is on a video game, gas for your car, food at the market, or whatever else you spend it on.

There needs to be something more than try again later. SE really needs to implement a queue system or an overflow system (e.g., Guildwars 2). Having to keep going through the start, select toon, wait for error message is really going to make people irritated.

There IS a queue system. SE, however, is currently restricting the amount of players per server. Which means if slots open up, you'll see the queue, but you run the risk of getting bumped out of it when the servers hit their throttled limit.

add me to the 1017 error club. Server: Balmung. Even made a quick character on Faeire server only to end up with two characters in the 1017 club.

First off I can not believe how some people are acting. When how many thousand people are trying to log on all at the same time problems are going to occur. the are far fewer of devs then there are player by far. I'm sure they are doing the best that they can to fix all the issues. This is an unfortunate but common problem with mmo's. don't like it, don't play mmo's. Wow. I see u never played MMOs at launch. This game is horrible. Not even smart enough to place a QUE system like any other MMO instead of players having to spam START (Char name) OK OK over and over for the chance to get into the game. If they had a que system at least I could go do something waiting for my turn. And the QUE system being off the bat not after 30 minutes plus of spamming buttons and getting kicked back to start screen.

Again... there actually is a Queue system... the issue is SE is restricting the server which in turn is causing people to get kicked from queue when they can see it at all.

Okay well. Now I'm extra frustrated. I've been getting 1017 for days. Tonight I actually got into a queue and got incredibly excited. "Players in queue:6" it said. After about 5 minutes it then threw me off with the same old World is Full error. What in the hell. It is 100% impossible for an adult gamer to play this game. I cannot log in during the day; I have a couple hours nightly when I can do this kind of thing and they coincide with peak traffic and I guess I'm SoL? I was excited about my Legacy status and about ARR after beta phase 4 but no more; this isn't a beta. It is a gold product a lot of people paid to access early and it is unusable.

Well, damn. Here I was all hot and bothered ready to make an angry on the forums, only to find I'm a day late and a dollar short to the angry party! Well, I guess here's to hoping for some extra servers, or at the very least a working Queue system.
