Having trouble getting to level 5 surplus or higher

It has nothing to do with being elitest at all and not wanting to have a bunch of high level characters to play with when I am a high level. I just believe that there needs to be a more even balance in the number of high level characters in correspondence to low level characters

27-37? in one week? That's not too fast. Sure, it's fast, but the pace you are ranking is just slow enough where you are hitting your soft surplus resets throughout the week. There are two soft resets that lower your rank two levels. So, it might seem like you can't get past rank 4 for that reason.

R40-50 in one week is too fast. 27-37 pshhh. Grind harder man.

In essence I agree with this though I despise surplus and don't think its the answer. I got my pug to 50 around the random SP days when it was much harder. Now, it seems almost too easy. Almost. They - in a way - took away what little achievement it meant to get to 50 without replacing it with anything substantial.

Hopefully if (and when) they raise the level cap it will be much harder to get to 75 (or whatever they change it to) to give the level some kind of meaning.

ha i can tell ya getting to stage 5 is not that difficult. i am now leveling 2 classes at once because i was there every week.

I have to say since the addition of the party bonus back into SP gain, I have been at a loss as to why anyone would complain about surplus. If you do fail parties you can easy earn 50k SP per broken water run. Even at high fatigue that is not denting you much. I doubt they will but I do feel fail parties should be nerfed by SE. With so little end game content, in my opinion there is no need for a player to make r50 in a month.
