How does one go about doing it because this game isn't playable? I doubt it will be in the next month and I feel that the product I purchased was not only broken but was falsely advertised.

starting to agree..

I assume you'd have to put in a ticket of some kind on where ever you bought the game.
I'm the Bloodgaru Queen.
Because of the way this games is sent out no service other then Square has the ability to refund purchase price. I could stop payment on my card, but that only hurts the middle man not the people at fault.
Honestly Abatement, SE is trying to fix the problems... Its just they game has small windows off maintenance. Honestly SE will probably say no and how could you stop the payment? It was already sent to them. All I hear are complaints, im getting the 1017 error but idc.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=saC13RJ8CUs <--- really. there are more games to play out there. Just take a break and go play a shooter or something. These pointless threads are well pointless. Maybe SE is reluctant to post anything that may not be 100% true? Maybe they are just trying to focus on whats more important... maybe fixing the game/login issues.
Wonder if the bolded line will put a damper on your plan on getting a refund.

"5. INTERRUPTION TO THE SERVICE
From time to time, in order to provide our customers with the optimal gaming experience, it is necessary for Square Enix to conduct routine maintenance on the computers and/or servers that support the Game. During these times, access to the Game or support services may be interrupted. Access may also be temporarily suspended in whole or in part, without notice, due to emergency repairs, fire, flood, explosion, war, strike, embargo, governmental action or failure to act, the act of any civil or military authority, act of God, or by any other causes beyond Square Enix’s control, or any other reasons for which Square Enix, in its sole discretion, deems that temporary suspension is necessary. You acknowledge that disruptions of service may occur and waive any causes of action against Square Enix in any way arising from or related to any such disruptions of service. "
Welcome to their release. I didn't pay 29 dollars to beta test their client. The reason I spent money was to play. I have certain expectation on a release mmo. Like being able to get in it. This is not 2006 it is 2013 the bar by now should be raised to the allowing people to get into the game. Sorry but this shit is completely unacceptable. Best part is now my friend is 15 levels higher then me and I will take weeks to catch up because the beta client that was more stable and allowed people to play keep character into a release.
This right here sounds good but I can still stop payment on my card for false advertisement.Wonder if the bolded line will put a damper on your plan on getting a refund.

typically i would agree and say the ToS cover SE's butt.. However, due to the inability on SE's part to show this "game" has had successful lengthy up-time longer than 12 hours since its "launch" he might have a case.. Its had more downtime and inability to log in time than actual log-gable playtime
