Don't get your money back just complain more so it gets fixed faster. If noone had complained it would have been four 12 hour fixes instead of just 2 hour fixes. Keep complaining and making threads so things go faster.

No, this is NOT how they work the first few weeks of launch. The fact that you, and others find this acceptable is absolutely astonishing. It is NOT acceptable for any game to have this level of issues at it's release. Having your game be unplayable by the majority of those that purchased it, is a bad business motto. This being acceptable for any game, is like saying it was acceptable for microsoft to release the most faulty piece of gaming hardware in history, and lie about it's issues or blame them all on the buyers.
No, sorry, this is not acceptable for any game, MMO or not, because that first few weeks, more so the first week then anything, are the determining factor in any game's life. FF14 already has a bad rep due to 1.0, if the game goes live as is, it could very likely be the end of the game.
Thats awesome. So you enjoy being screwed over something you pay for?
Yes it happens, and it is NEVER acceptable.
With as many MMO's that have come out, and the knowledge SE had by the amount of pre-order and hype for this game, the servers should have been ready. There should have also been a lot more time spent for Stress Testing. To do the stress test days before launch means that any errors or problems that came up would not be fixed by launch. Other MMO's have done this as well.
It is a very common problem with MMO launches, I agree.. and that reason is because majority of them skimp on the costs of servers (very pricy) until they start getting that monthly sub. This is not acceptable.
Just because tons of other games have had this problem does not mean ITS FINE. It's not. It's still an issue every single time it comes up. This isn't some beta/test/bug fix phase. That has come and gone, and should have been extended. It's lazy and a slap in the face to the playerbase.
Really now give me 1 game that had no bugs at release. just one closest i know of was SWTOR and that had its bugs too.My friend got a refund by contacting Digital River, the company in charge of pre-orders purchased on Square Enix website. You just gotta use the correct words when you contact them.
Also, to the OP: Comparing a MMO released in 2004 to a MMO released in 2013? Really?? Many AAA mmos had a smooth launch between WoW and FF14:ARR. You might think you're the shit for posting this thread but in fact you're the clueless of the clueless.... bottom drawer clueless.
Next time you wanna feel embarrased, just come back here and read yourself... jesus.
refund nope, maybe tomorrow but complaints filed with BBB and FTC and General Advocate for selling a inferior product and not providing service as advertised maybe.
I do want my money back, and in the same respect ask you to never post on a forum again, seems to make about as much sense. see, here's the thing. I don't care what it is, I paid for it, and I want what I paid for. if ARR was a car, we all just paid top dollar for a frame with a nice paint job, but theres no wheels or doors and the engine doesn't run. you might be cool with that, but i'm not.
WTF, are you just not that smart? Every game has bugs, EVERY GAME! You will never be able to make a game that doesn't have it's bugs, and you will never be able to remove all bugs from a game, its just how it is.
But to think it's perfectly fine for a game to be released with game breaking bugs, errors, or the company to prevent everyone that paid for the game to be able to play by either constantly shut down the servers, or by limiting log ins is an asinine way to think.
Beta tests are there to find these issues, and address them. Live launch is not the time to be addressing all problems. This is why most games, have open betas that are much longer then just 3 days.
Oh and FYI, DUST514 has had possibly the smoothest launch of any MMO made, because CCP had the game in beta, closed and open combined, for over 18 months.

[QUOTE=ntall1;1065200]For me, its still too early to be wanting a refund, but that doesn't change the fact that players who have access to early access have paid for it. This isnt beta anymore, its the pre order incentive time for those who have already paid their money. If one wants a refund because the product is not as advertised, or the product is not functioning as intended, than they deserve a refund. That is why ppl get refunds for anything.
see thats the thing tho you didnt pay for early access you paid for the game and a bonus to it was being able to play in this phase and like almost every mmo this phase has bugs. I Also dont think people should be freaking out and yelling fail fail fail when they think something is easyer to fix then it is. unless your a programmer and work with this kind of stuff you shouldn't be doubting them they fixed major bugs like error code 3102 in 2 days thats a big step other games would take a week or more.
Honestly? Early-access cost you $5... :|I do want my money back, and in the same respect ask you to never post on a forum again, seems to make about as much sense. see, here's the thing. and this is where the problem comes in this game is not live! its in pre access to live launch hence why no one has CE items or Pre order items you didnt buy early access you bought the game! and as a bonus you get to play early! it also hasnt been down that long its been up for maybe 36 hrs and ive gotten a good 18hrs of play time now. also if its asinine to think that way why is it wow can have 12+hr que times to get into realms after new content comes out and thats okay?WTF, are you just not that smart?
