SE botched the early release about as badly as they could have. Every time I was able to play this weekend, I was met with offline servers, servers locked from new characters, or login errors. I wasted hours trying to get online only to play about 30 minutes late last night. As it is for most of you, my time is money... Not only did we pay more for early access, but we allocated time out of out busy lives to play during early access and that time was wasted - lost due to poor planning and management. SE should step up and offer another free month of play time for everyone who paid for early access AND fire all in charge of managing the roll-out and servers. How did they not plan for this? Didn't they bother hiring professionals experienced with MMO roll-outs? Why didn't they stress test the servers during beta? From the perspective of this business executive, this failure is inexcusable and heads should roll...

lol "AND fire" 'em... "heads should roll"... good lord, someone has anger issues. These types of errors were expected and they have been resolved as we continue to run into them, won't be much longer til all the errors are a thing of the past. If anyone should be in trouble, it should be the people in charge of letting the players know what's going on. It's gotten better, but earlier we'd go for hours before getting any notice at all. But firing them? That's ridiculous. This is prelaunch, early access remember, we're not entitled to 100% guarantees just yet. So SE should give everyone an ENTIRE month FREE for a few days that they didn't have to give us at all. Boy that sure sounds logical from a "business executive perspective." Oh wait, no that sounds idiotic. You'll get your preorder items and you'll be happy with them. Or, you can ragequit and we'll have to deal with one less impatient, self-entitled loser.

I used to stand behind the old "it's an MMO" thing. But I've launched 4 MMOs in the past year and a half and this is by far the worst.

Yes I remember WoWs release. Any company that hasn't learned from that is idiotic.

SWTOR had a great release but wasn't smart enough to have character transfers figured out. This game has a crap release but supposedly does. I don't really know which is better. My guess is retention is going to be on the low side.

I'd be ok with queues. Or minor bugs. But so far it's been game breaking things that I might as well just log off because I can't progress further.my class quest on BOTH of my toons is bugged. It's pretty but nothing amazing. Had they done launch flawless it might have a much better hold in the market but I'm doubtful

Had fun playing the JPN servers with 80% EU people ;-p

and got quite good at character creating after not being able to log in for several hours haha

And ozzies and some places I've not heard of before, but that's still cool. The JP servers seem to have fewer streakers, so I guess that is good. Oh oh, pro tip for playing with the EU folks - take your top off and run around the zone for a bit after leveling up and yell "LEVVELLL!!!"

I feel bad for the 1.0 players that purchased the preorder just for early access. They atleast deserve some type of compensation. How about a missingno minion?
