I swear that every FF was Solo casual play before FFXI so whats the real big deal?
You solod to end game in every single FF game except 11.

Because 11 was the only other MMO. . .
I have to disagree on a lot of these things from the OP, the game is still young, mroe stuff is to come out, and I can assure the hardcore will dominate it.
Every Single FF game except 11 and 14 were not online.. that's the big difference. Most people don't play an MMORPG for the solo aspects.
Is this Cornyboob from Remora? =D

Uh, I am completely positive that Not-Even-Last-Gen implementation is what really killed this game, OP. Or was it ever alive to begin with.
This is an MMO, in the year 2011. Leveling should not be the hardest part about an MMO. Leveling has never been the hardest part of any good RPG. Leveling is not content. Content is Content. Party-grinding is not hard, challenging, impressive, or even additive to the actual game in any way (although it does help the 'business' if you would be so interested).
TLDR - Boring battle systems, Not-So-Dynamic-and-Next-Gen content, and technical flaws are the things that are keeping this game from taking off. That being said, the story-telling is alright (but certainly not excellent by single-player FF standards... but this is an MMO after all).

Ahh come on Argh. Are you really going to start copy/pasting failed topics from the Core to here?

I don't play FFXIV or any other MMO because I want to solo, I want to interact with everyone else and party. They made this game way to easy, and yes i agree that is whats killing it. They need to make the party system better so people will use it or just bring back the party flag. There is nothing in the game right now to make people want to keep playing, no sense of acheivment. Like in FFXI, how many times did you stay up all night just to finish some quests and get that piece of armor you have been trying to get for 2 years...then to finally get it.

Its not only what I want, but why pay to play a online game to play it by yourself...whats the point? Even though they haven't charged us yet it still doesn't make sense.
