If you didn't, even thou you are a legacy member and/or a 1.0 surviving character with a Branded tattoo, it doesn't matter. Makes sense in a way. My main got the slightly different storyline while my alt, whom did nothing GC wise nor trying to save the world, got the tattoo but no dice with the whole "remembering" part.
I never beat Darnus as I quit by the time he came around, yet got the Legacy (1.0) intro.

P.S. Dalamund Horn was hard mode only.
