Fixing Legacy Characters Story

Is there any information about whether or not legacy characters that are not getting the legacy story are going to be addressed or if anything is going to be done at all?

Through beta (phase 4 available) you learned that the void has made people lose memory of you, so that is why people have this dumb expression when they look at you. "you are.. err.. derp, sign here new adventurer!"

Minfilia said we might be able to lift this veil on us though, so it looks like the 1.0 story isn't complete yet. More to learn and find out about them and as well about "us" if you are them.

I heard there were legacy players who did not in fact receive the legacy introduction and their characters do not receive the same dialogue throughout the story as other legacy players. A glitch.

That is correct. There are a lot of legacy players (me included) who are not getting the legacy version of the main questline. It is treating us as if we are new players.

That sucks.. Shooting in the dark here but maybe it is because you started a new character? That character wouldn't have a 1.0 survivor story, only the survivors have that story XD.

If its a bug, hopefully they get it fixed soon~!

yeah my friend didn't got it and he was legacy also but will see what happens.

How do you mean, "Legacy Story?" There is a slight alteration story for 1.0 characters' stories who completed FFXIV 1.0's main story completely. I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with Legacy, as my other Legacy friend does not get this story for not having completely finished all main story quests.

Jinketsu, can you maybe put those shots together for us?

I've noticed on my legacy character the hesitation, but has anyone rolled a non-legacy character to see if the same hesitation appears? I've always wondered if those extra shots of "hmmm... you look... nevermind" were added just for certain characters as the way they are cut together makes it seem like it could be a "deleted scene" as it were.

Eh, the way I remember SE describing it, it seemed to be something all 1.0 chars would get, just by virtue of being 1.0 chars.

The legacy story (as I understand it) is slightly different to non legacy with the characters sometimes being "you're familiar but... umm...." and with some who do outright recognise you but then act like they don't. But it's not majorly different.

I'm assuming you mean the intro cutscene?

Something's still strange about it, because I got the "legacy" cutscene even though I hadn't completely finished the 1.0 story.

It makes no real difference, really, IMO; you can go watch the scene you missed on YouTube, and if you get the cart/boat intro, you can get a nice ring that you can't get otherwise.
