People also tend to put alot of blind faith into things they don't know how it will be implemented. I have concerns and I have every right to voice them.
Blind faith in what ? Lets say for arguments sake, that they implement the system exactly as it is in WOW, YOU! CAN STILL FORM YOUR OWN GROUPS FROM YOUR SERVER!! FROM YOUR LINKSHELL ETC ETC!! So why are you so concerned with what OTHER PLAYERS play the game ??
If they wanna use the LFG system, good for them, you and everybody else can go group up the good old way, and they can do it their way, is a WIN/WIN both camps are served, again whats the problem ?

Because even if I choose not to use it, it doesn't change the fact that it drastically reduces the number of intra-server groups formed and diminishes the sense of community within the server.
It is not SE Job to monitor and decide how the community behaves, also that should not be your concern, if people wanna ruin their own experience by using the system, that's their loss, why do you care how others play the game again ?
Oh and no it wont kill intra-server groups, everybody would rather group with people they know and trust, than with strangers :P

I hope you're not being serious.
Of course it's SE's job to monitor the community and influence their behavior. Without limits, people push the bounds of decency, and many times break it completely. All you have to do is look to the internet to prove that. When people exploit the system, they aren't just hurting their experience, they're effecting others as well.
This argument that "you don't have to use it if you don't want to" is an argument from ignorance. The plain fact it exists means it will effect the community as a whole, whether an individual uses it or not.
SE job is to deliver a good fun game for people to play, as of yet that has not happened, that is their only job, it is not their job to be the community police, what you are suggesting is that SE needs to contemplate every single time they might add a feature into the game, how they will baby sit the community, for example if they where to add HNM, that could lead to camping, and selling kills, are you suggesting that SE not add HNM because some people will camp then to death, and not allow the others to fight them? how about people that sell kills and loot? did you forget the last time SE went out of their way to baby sit the community vs RMT and delivered a horrible trade system ??I hope you're not being serious.

The community is the only one that can take care of the community, using wow as an example, as some people have done, is stupid, because the game mechanics and community are totally different, there is no change name, in this game, if i'm a ninja, i cant just change my name or make another toon, w/o loosing all the progress i have done here :/
Whats next ? No pvp in any form, because that will lead to a bad community ? Woot there goes another chunk of the player base they could have tapped 8-)
Only way that would be relevant and not a terrible example at all is if said PVP was open and you couldn't help yourself but be effected by Johny Appleseed wanting to romp allover your face.
We can "Opt out" of Cross server parties, but it still effects our comunity in ways we can not control, like it or not Ninja looting would be a problem wether there were name changes or not. Hell it's not even the biggest problem though, it's segregating the community of a server because it might be easier or faster to get a cross server group going.
Whats the point of servers at that point? Why not just merge us all into one server! then you can have all the cross server play you ever wanted.

Which is exactly one of the problems with cross-server parties. People don't need to worry about accountability because they will most likely never see them again. But thanks for making one of the points for us.
And PvP would only "ruin the community" if it was open world PvP. Having a duel system or Ballista-like PvP would not adversely effect the community since it would be pure, real choice. Cross-server parties are not pure, real choice. The fact they would even exist means it have an effect (a bad one) on the community.

Because if they have the system we have to use it matter what because it's not like we can /sh most players wont even want to do it that way they just sit in the city and wait for a dungeon. I play wow and i /tell players who just did a dungeon with me and they said no and this happen many many times not only one time. So yes trust me players would like to just do random dungeon then players in there own world. It is not SE Job to monitor and decide how the community behaves, also that should not be your concern, if people wanna ruin their own experience by using the system, that's their loss, why do you care how others play the game again ?

So from what you are saying, most players would rather use the LFG tool, than grouping, then if majority wants that, who are you to tell them they cant ? since when is your money more important than their money ? since when should anybody play the game they pay for(Eventually) pay and play as you see fit ? The LFG is an option, it does not disables your character from forming groups from your own server or ls, if people want to group from their own server, they can, if they dont, they can use it, is a WIN/WIN for both sides.Because if they have the system we have to use it matter what because it's not like we can /sh most players wont even want to do it that way they just sit in the city and wait for a dungeon. Plus why do you or anybody else cares, if jimmy the noob is sitting in town waiting for a group ? does it affect you ? does he sitting in town, cast's a debuff on your character where he gets no XP/SP ?
