Regarding the character transfers for 1.0 characters and the people who have friends that they want to play with in the future(such as on the release date or after), what are your thoughts?

1. You transfer to Excalibur/Balmung and it becomes full shortly. Your character is locked into those servers as there is only a one time world transfer. You are stuck here with your 1.0 character.

2. You transfer to one of the 3: Hyperion, Ragnarok, Sargatanas and it is likely that there is enough room for your friends to join your 1.0 character.

3. Throw away legacy status/1.0 character and start fresh?

The problem is that the people who I played with in 1.0 are leaning towards the 3 star servers and I want to play with them but in fear of the server having a maximum capacity.

I haven't looked at the world transfer application page as I am lucky enough not to have to move. Is the above information something they provide there to help you in your choice?

Yoshida said somewhere that each server was designed to handle up to 5000 concurrent users- that means users online at the same time. The actual total number of accounts/characters allowed would be much higher than that, because not every character will log in at the same time.

It sounds like what you really want to know is whether worlds marked full ("x") will have capacity reserved so new players can create characters there at launch. SE hasn't said.

Someone does know and that is SE i think it's not a information they want to give out. Even if they did it would a estimate and not the real number.

Also i hope you know you could switch anytime you want before July 15. So you could simply ask everyone you want on that world to apply for it. If by chance someone can't get in you just ask everyone once again to apply to something else. I know it's not ideal but what can you do i don't think they want to go and change everything when this work somewhat. Also yoshi-p pretty much said if you can't get everyone within in one world by looking the stars and what not then it's your problem.

The only one I would worry is Excalibur. That one is going to get full fast and I'm not sure if they will have any reserve for new players. I'm glad Sargatanas won't be near capacity but I bet it will get somewhat close seeing how it is the unofficial legacy NA/EU server (Just found out recently ^^)

I thought this one might fill up first, but I guess I underestimate how many JP people play this game since the announcement of Masamune and Aegis (my old server) nearly reaching capacity today.

Nah my problem is that I am greedy and want to stick with the players I met in 1.0. At the same time, I want the server to have room for my friends who will join when the game is released. 1st world problems
