    will be eager to read it... I'm not from Europe, but I recall it being said previously that the EU would have its own datacenter.

    Granted MMOs are very tolerant of network latency (the "lag' tends to be more server processing/load/design issues than network issues) and most players didn't have much issue when the servers were Japan only, but it's still a bit disappointing.

    I suppose in some ways its a good thing as there will be somewhat of an increase in cultural diversity among NA servers.

    Maybe, but XIV will be the poorer, in comparison with XI, when 'western' players are segregated from the Japanese and Oriental players.
