hold on here, sorry to point it out but the free trial you seem to think is months long was never stated to be months long.

You do know they did reinstate the free trial 30 day period for anyone with an active account from sept 29-nov1 2012(end save date)? They may have put this here to fulfill what they said who knows. Notice how that's the time period on your roadmap you posted free trial would start oct-nov and end after ARR release with no set amount of time after.

I do agree yes it would be a good idea to have a period for those skeptical returning, but as for specifics on how long a free trial would be it's not said anywhere it would be 3 months. You just assumed that based on it saying it would give a free trial in oct-nov and billing would resume sometime after release which they estimated at Jan back then.

Also it doesn't say anything about game will be down for 9 months or that beta 4 would save progress made. There are lots of things not in that original roadmap which the dates of release are off by like 7-8 months and which the free trial resumes was given at the exact time they said it would oddly enough.

The original document didn't place that period before the shut down of 1.0, but after 2.0 is ready.

You're basically implying that it'd be a free trial of 1.0, which it wasn't.

and at no point does it say the game will be active during this time. It would all be pre-release notice how the trial ends after "release" and starts months before?

Client goes on sale in Jan, which means oct-nov would all be prior, considering you are saying early access is completely different this would actually state we get 2-3 months early access and a trial of undetermined time after the release. (which we are obviously not unless you include beta which I also agree is not a trial period. There is so much in that original roadmap that is not even close.

They gave the free period from oct-nov as I posted and the game was down after that, which may be what they intended and then another free period after of undetermined time. I don't see how that's months as they never state the game will be up, technically they haven't charged for 9 months by release but yes there is no game to play and the free trial did start oct 2012 in which we did get 1 month free.
